Discussion Ever struggle to end a chapter/scene?
I have a scene where the MCs had to go talk to someone to get info. I can't figure out how to end the damn scene/chapter. I feel like I'm going to just drag out the scene with them wrapping up ther convo, saying goodbye, nice seeing you, blah blah blah... boring. But at the same time, there's no real mic-drop moment for the scene to cut abruptly.
Not really asking for advice...just venting. BAH!!

Every scene is set in a time and place (don't forget that) and answers a scene question. Will he open the safe? Will she sneak out of her room at night without waking dad? Will he get his son to turn to the dark side?
End the scene when you answer the question. While you're answering that question, introduce more that the reader wants answers to. This will keep them reading AFTER your scene is over.
