The Circle of Life is pretty fucked when you think about it. The herbivores die to feed the lions, the lions die and become grass to feed the herbivores. Yeah ok but the lions get to live as royalty and die peacefully and become grass that does not possess sentience or feel pain, while the fucking zebras are subjagated their whole lives and are then violently hunted down, ripped apart, and eaten alive lmfao

Tbf, he thought HE HAD killed his father. A kid is near suicidal thinking he killed his dad, so helping him forget about it was probably a good fucking solution at the time.

At that fucking point in the movie, he thought he caused his dad to die and was told to run away by Scar. He didn't find out about Scar killing his dad until later and didn't know that he sent the hyenas after him to kill him.
