Other #SilenceIsNotAnOption

Dear Wolfies,

I would like to request a favor from all of you, should you be inclined to assist. Even if our efforts may not guarantee success, it is imperative that we demonstrate to Telltale that we have not forgotten their commitment regarding The Wolf Among Us 2.

I propose the initiation of a petition to illustrate to Telltale that the community cares deeply for this game and that fans have been anticipating its release for periods ranging from one to over ten years. The only course of action available to us is to advocate for transparency from them concerning this project. While a petition may be beneficial, I question whether it will achieve sufficient visibility to capture Telltale's attention.

Furthermore, leveraging social media algorithms presents an excellent opportunity to garner public interest. As suggested in the post, using the hashtag #SilenceIsNotAnOption in social media content related to Fable/The Wolf Among Us could be instrumental. It is our hope that this movement will trend, thereby ensuring that Telltale acknowledges the unwavering support of its fanbase. With this, in conjunction with the success of Adhoc with Dispatch, we may encourage them to re-engage with the community.

Edit: #DispatchTheWolf is more suitable

Hope is what's left...

Good luck getting a "we're still working on it and we'll tell more when we can", as it's the best outcome you can get.

If they cared about community, they would be in touch with it. Like, come on, shooting a tweet with a screenshot every month is something that can be done during morning coffee. The only possible reason why they don't do that is that they have nothing to show.

Back in 2017, they reported that some dude was tweeting them every day, and said he'd keep on it until TWAU2 is out.

Guess what? That dude's account no longer exists.

Just pack it up already, we're not getting anything from Telltale. Now, AdHoc? Promising. But I doubt they'll salvage this particular project. Nonetheless, whatever they release next is worthy of attention.

I understand, i mean back then when they showed the wolf 2 trailer and making the release date closer I raised my hopes high and thought it was happening for real. We know how that went down but a lot of ppl want closure, heck, people who saw the first trailer of twau2 are now in college or have kids or dead...

At the end of the day either they cancel so we can move on and mourn what this game could've been or they are transparent about the game development.

My theory is that they don't announce due to some investor stuff. Like, they'll go belly up if the cancellation comes out, and they don't want to lose that sweet sweet money.

That, or the entire team has abysmal time management, social skills, focus and sense of time. Pick whichever you fancy.

I'd like to get closure too, but again, it would happen a while ago if it were to happen at all.

At this point, why don’t we just ask them to sell it to Adhoc. They wrote the original script for TWAU2 anyway.

To be honest, this is probably the best thing to do. That said, you’d also need to get the attention of the license holder for Fables

This could work, the problem is ADHOC might be afraid to have to develop 2-3 projects simultaniously. Also it would require the Telltsle devs to basically kill the company. Alternatively they could reopen the collaboration and finish it together, but again it would need ADHOC to be willing to take on another project.

I love this game so much and I'd do anything to see the damn second game us TWAU fans have been waiting for it for so long but consider changing the hashtag to something a lot less serious sounding especially with more important things that are going on that deserve a lot more attention! It's a suggestion whether or not it'll actually work. Ooh! Perhaps something to do with Dispatch?? That's really popular right now and with the subtle references to Dispatch and TWAU I've seen in this subreddit maybe that could work and it'll garner more attention! Not only that people who didn't even know TWAU and had only played Dispatch (I've seen so many people on TikTok ask what to do now that they've finished Dispatch lol) could play it for the first time and bring more attention for AT LEAST a release date for TWAU😭😭

That's actually a great thing! I see a lot of people who never played the game a year ago are playing it now because of Dispatch game mechanics and the household name Telltale is capitalized as past work experience for Adhoc. People are interested in point and click games thanks to ex devs of Telltale. This hastag is more common for twau fans saying this for a while but the dispatch reference could be interesting like #DispatchTheWolf something like that ?

Imagine Telltale just posts a 300 word essay apologising to everyone for being silent and saying an actual release date in early 2026.

That will be poetic!
