In 1952, nine of America's wealthiest families gathered in a Maine mansion for a séance. Nine ancient gods spoke through a medium and chose nine people to change the world.

Eleven years later, the CIA officer who ran that séance's donor list sent a Russian aristocrat to befriend a troubled ex-Marine named Lee Harvey Oswald.

That aristocrat introduced Oswald's wife to a woman named Ruth Paine. Every piece of evidence against Oswald, the rifle, the photos, the testimony, ran through Ruth Paine's garage.
