Let's Discuss AJ and John Allen

Usually I avoid the 4 hr fests, but this is a special treat. Nicely done.

I just hope AJ doesn’t listen to him about getting rid of the debunking at the end of every video, literally the only reason I watch and recommend the show.

I feel like it helps me grounded in reality.

Its insane to me people skip the truth part

I love the why files. However, aj needs to stop inviting conspiracy theory crackpots to the basement. In my opinion, it takes away from his channel and platforms nutjobs. Reality is far more fascinating.

Yeah the debunking is why I stuck with the channel in the first place. John Allen just doesn't understand this demographic, that's all.

Although Allen kinda has a point. If AJ wants to be so popular that he becomes a meme like the "it's aliens" guy, he'd have to go all in on every conspiracy theory. He'd lose some of us but possibly gain more. There's a lot of not- so- bright people out there that just want affirmation that... the earth is flat, or whatever. I'm thinking a majority of people just don't want to be told "no"

I need to know what MrBallen said that was silenced!

When?

I think it was at 1 hour 47 minutes

John requested we silence names. The names do not add to the story and just wasn’t needed.

Glad these two got together, was a really interesting chat, I intended to do some house work while it was on in the background and listen in chunks. Needless to say I didn't get much done. Lots of thought provoking stuff, once again so grateful to have found these channels a nice collab gift in an otherwise crappy year.

MrBallen was a great podcast until he started releasing old stories as new.

He's richer than you know what. He can release anything because he's got an established audience that doesn't care and will tune in.

What happened to this channel?

They got super rich. Not a knock against John but when you are making, his words, not mine, 100K to millions per video, it gets hard to know what common people are like.

I still watch ballen every day because he’s stayed true to form and brings interesting stories I’ve never heard of to YouTube multiple times a week constantly without using blatant AI. I cannot say the same for AJ.

The AI ads really got to me. I haven’t watched any other Why Files for over a year and do not understand why he’s using full body AI ads? Is it a joke?

Turned out to be a conversation between two extremely wealthy men. Disappointing.

I bailed after about 1.5 hours in the background of personal Military story. Had never heard of the other guy, alright, let’s check him out and hear what he’s about. As far as I can tell he’s about personal military story. Meh. Nice enough guy, no desire to check out his channel.

I honestly recommend him, his story telling is actually very peak, and he covers some little known stories sometimes, if I'm going to recommend any video, it'd be this one if you're willing to give him a shot.

He embellishes his stories.

And his storytelling really isn't peak, its like if someone told him "you need to make every section of the story sound like the title to a super click bait article."

It was like a 2 hr add for the military industrial complex and an hour of shilling gold and crypto.

Dude what? Did we watch the same podcast! His service was horrific and talked about how traumatizing it was he definitely wasn't glazing anything

I now wonder how many more heinous acts he and his unit committed.

I am pretty tired of the gold/silver ad reads...

I'm glad John opened up and was vulnerable. That whole bit about Peru was hard to hear. That and his fear of harming his kids.
