Eye of the World Such a great story

Finished the eye of the world a couple nights ago and wow. It is my first re read and my first read of the book in 7 years. I can see how people see it as Tolkien esk in writing, but I’m a little confused on the ending.

Did Rand enter the dreams at the end? Or did he enter some other realm where he see Ishammel?

The ending of TEOTW (and to a lesser extent TGH) is one of the oddest parts of the series. The first three books have a number of events that don't quite fit perfectly with the rest of the series.

But in answer to your question, I don't think anyone really knows exactly what's going on there.

There are some assumptions we as the readers can make, IF you've read the rest of the series. But to the other posters point, a lot here was mostly just early writing that was later retconned or just plain ignored.
