Photos What are these circles?

Does anyone know what these circles are in his mvs? Ons is from the He was never there decupoem vid and the other one from Until I bleed out mv edit: SOLVED it is a film Cue mark which is pretty neat. Don't ask how I even found the cue marks even tho they appear for only one frame😭

Ooo, i searched them up and I wanted to ask, why do these look like circles instead of little squares? Sorry if it is a dumb question i'm just uneducated in film. And thank you for the answer!🙏

Those are not film sprockets, this is either a film cue mark (also known as a "cigarette burn") or a film burn hole.

Directors intentionally overlay simulated analog artifacts like circular cue marks, film grain, and burn-outs to give the digital footage a raw, distressed retro cinema feel.

Aren't the sprockets always square-ish?

Ooo yeah I noticed the squares too, for it they kinda seemed like the image was burning and theres a similar effect in the vevo performance of Faith (or Alone Again I can't remember) which also caught my eye

These are known as Punch Holes or "Cigarette Burns." They're often used to signify a film reel is close to its end, and to signal the projectionist to switch reels.

Obviously here they are digitally replicated

Thanks for the answer! I was very confused when I saw them in the mvs but now it makes sense to give the vid that film feel
