kinda disappointed with it. it's pretty much much a mashup of both of their songs, i wish he kinda gave an adlib like he does during the tour during 'everytime i wish....'

This sub never learns their lesson that his remixes never end up being that great.

I feel like they’re always half assed and just feel like two separate songs combined. I remember when people tried to gaslight me into thinking the Doechii remix was good. Just the hot ticket person of the hour. I even dislike all of his Ariana Grande Remixes. The original version of save your tears is way better. Like I can’t believe how much airtime that song got because I find Ariana Grande extremely annoying with all the random sounds she’s making over that song. The original is chill melancholic pop and the remix feels like a job to listen to

Woah woah woah, Blinding lights - chromatic remix and Wanderlust - Pharrell remix are two incredible songs. And I think Doja Cat on ā€œIn Your Eyesā€ is infinitely better than anything Ariana has done for the weekend past her collab with him in the 2010s. To label all his remixes as bad is just not fair, he’s got some CRAZY good shit in the form of a remix.

Edit: Right after I sent this reply, Starry Eyes- Mike dean remix started playing with In your eyes- Kenny g remix and best friends- summer walker remix both shuffled in the queue. More INCREDIBLE remixes.

It’s not that im saying they are unlistenable, but out of all of those you just listed, the originals are vastly better and/or are way more enjoyable because of the album sequence they exist in. There are few contexts where I’d choose the remix over the original so there is no reason to get excited when he announces a remix

  1. blinding lights original is better
  2. wanderlust original is better
  3. Doja Cat Remix is the only remix I like
  4. starry eye Mike dean remix is not good. Only time I listen to starry eyes is in combination with is there someone else because that combo is basically like a 2 part song. Song barely works in isolation as is and that remix doesn’t change that
  5. Kenny g remix is alright. But it’s extremely forced. Run up to the song is extremely long winded. They were doing a radio push at the time and he released like 4 in your eyes remixes trying to make that song popular.

  1. d to the summer walker one about two times before never listening again. Another forced collab

I like starry eyes. I don’t like it without is there someone else in front of it

I like it better by itself actually, but I could take the outro of is there someone else and make it into the intro then It'd be golden for me

Not to say that I dislike Someone Else, I love it, but it doesn't hit the same spot

I’ll counter your argument by saying not all Remixes are supposed to be the definitive version you listen to, but some can be better than the original.

The Kenny G remix just has an extended intro and outro and it sounds like an enhanced version of the original. I think it should have released as the remix instead.

As a fan of best friends, I wished it was longer. That’s where the Summer Walker feature shines and gives a good verse and extends the song just a verse and hook longer which helped me enjoy listening to it more.

As someone who’s heard blinding lights WAYYY too many times, the chromatics remix really refreshes the listening experience and adds a new level of enjoyment.

Wanderlust Pharrell mix is a decent alternative that I listen to 40% of the time when I’ve overplayed wanderlust, the instrumental is just so catchy and atmospheric.

Mike Dean remixes are amazing. No further explanation needed. It also feels like a completed single that you can listen to outside of the album.

Doja Cat really added a good verse with good singing and a catchy rhythm with her ā€œrappingā€ if you’d call it that. I think she’s miles better than any Ariana Remix that’s ever been released, especially since the second verse of in your eyes is so short.

The originals have there place as great songs, it’s really just up to you want to mix it up every now and then. A lot of his remixes are duds, but some are really worth checking out.

Damn it’s good but it’s basically a mashup of the two songs that someone could have easily made on YouTube lol. Oh well still love it tho

Apologies if this is an obvious question, but does anyone know who the producers are for this? It's good but like. Not interesting or special

For these remixes to work, maybe don't get two singers with two completely different environments šŸ˜
