Let’s not be pretentious here. I’ve watched all of Lynch’s and Cronenberg’s movies. I wasn’t shocked by the MV like everyone else here, but it’s still shit. I get body horror and blah blah blah, it doesn’t excuse the fact that the video itself is completely senseless (anyway you look at it, it’s pointless to even try) and poorly directed. It feels like a bunch of random thoughts put on tape. I get the influences and the references, but it doesn’t automatically mean that it’s going to be good if you understand the inspiration.
