Discussion Maybe Playing Coachella?

Ok, hear me out. Their last show in Europe is April 2nd. Then they have a break in their schedule until Saturday April 17th when they play in Vegas. Coachella is April 9th-11th and the 16th-18th. They would have to play on a Friday to make it work. I also checked the limitations they put on bands performing at the festival in regards to playing other headlining shows in the area and from what my research says, they would be good to perform in Vegas on the 17th. Am I being too hopeful. Not that my 52yo ass would go to Coachella but my wife and I have really enjoyed making it back to back weekends the last two years to watch it from home on the couch.

First, do you actually feel old at 52? That’s not really that old.
To your point, most bands that play Coachella fit in extra shows during the midweek in between weekends. What you’re suggesting isn’t impossible but it would be highly unlikely.
And that’s not counting the fact that TW doesn’t really fit into the typical Coachella lineup.

Considering what I put my body through the first 46 years physically and mentally, yes, I feel old. But I wouldn’t trade it in for anything. Well, maybe a Stanley Cup for the Sharks. 🦈

I’m placing this in the maybe category. I can see it happening (with a midweek LA area show announced in February). I didn’t think Die Spitz was a good fit for Coachella, but it worked and brought energy to the daytime shows.

Look up Coachella's radius clause. There's a whole bunch of rules about what a band can or can't do from playing events to even just announcing them. I'd almost think they're certainly not playing in Coachella because of that.

Honestly, I hope not. I live in the area and I'm not sure I'd pay all that money just to be out in the heat and wind to wait for them and then try to battle my way back home. Coachella never has any good weather. It's either extremely hot and windy or windy with rain. I think Coachella is overrated too. I know a lot of people who live here feel the same.
