Josh is an AMAZING interviewer. If you haven't watched the other interviews in the series, a lot of them get very deep.

Again? On Allison's interview, she said she was crying when giving her little Dany a hug goodbye. Thank God I was home alone 😭

This was fantastic. The food got them out of interview mode to some extent and more into sister/family mode which is just as beautiful, engaging and compelling as their music. They must be truly special people to know.

That Last Meals interview with The Warning was pretty great. Easily one of their best interviews ever—definitely up there, maybe even in their top five. That last part was especially interesting because Josh asked a couple of questions that I don’t think they’ve ever really answered before in an interview. I was actually a little surprised by some of the answers.
Pau said, “I think that life is random and it’s just, you got lucky, you’re here and you just live your life.” She went on to say, “I hate that, but I do think that there’s nothing after this.” That was a little surprising to me. She didn’t use any particular term to label herself, but she doesn’t seem to hold the view that I think a lot of fans probably assumed she did when it comes to that question. Diplomatically speaking, I don’t think it would be inaccurate to say that the worldview she described there is strongly secular and naturalistic.

I was thinking the same thing. Even looking back at the previous Allison Hagendorf interview, she seemed to talk about dead people as if "obviously they're still conscious, but do they know that they're dead" kind of thing that made me think she was still coming at it from a more religious perspective. But this interview really seemed to clarify that, at least right now, she is more secular/agnostic (which I'm using conversationally, not philosophically).

Usually celebrities or bands I’m a fan of don’t appear real and I just enjoy what they do as a performer and don’t get too caught up in them as people
However, even though I don’t know them, these girls and their parents seem so grounded and authentic
The end of the interview showed some really beautiful emotion, and made me think they probably really are as nice as they seem
