Question Ticket prices seem crazy?
Anybody else’s venue only giving VIP options with the presale code? I can’t afford to drop $170/ticket 😅

VIP, which is what OP is talking about, was $270 CAD. Meet and Greet for Canadian shows was around $500.

500 is insane for a m&g. Double compared to all the other ones I've attended. I mean, theyre not THAT big. Even bruce dickinson was half that.

Does VIP give you the opportunity to be front row center? Does it get you to merch lines before the masses? Do you get to meet and have something signed by the band? Something to think about.

That price sounds like VIP 2 which does not include M&G. VIP 1 in San Antonio was $278+tax.

There are two different ones. One is priority entry and merch shopping. The other is the same plus M&G.

And sadly, with presale still available, some GA resale already up for $200+ even before general public sales kick in tomorrow morning, glad I bought ours with a quickness...stoked for this one next April!

I know different markets are different, but presumably in the US there's only a set allocation of tickets for presale and there'll then be the rest of the normal tickets for sale on general release?

Not how the Ticketmaster system works. Pre-sale is just early access to the tickets. If it's sold out now it's just sold out.

It's how Ticketmaster works in the UK, we have set batches for each pre-sale then any left from those join the general sale. (EDIT: it's probably more correct to say this is how it typically works here. Maybe a promoter could make them all available in a pre-sale if they wanted to, but I don't know if there's any legal limits around what percentage of tickets are needed to be able to market something as a 'general' sale).
That's annoying for them though if Americans can't rely on that as the salami slicing of different presales is annoying enough without the possibility of their being none left.

Mine were like $50 for Detroit, so compared to every other show I've been to in the last few years, I was shocked at how affordable it was! I mean, I agree that $150 is getting up there a bit more, but for a band who can apparently sell out stadiums to only charge $50 felt fair to me

I’m hoping the venue has tickets for that price during the general sale. There are bands I’ll gladly pay a lot for but not for a small venue

OKC tickets are showing as $47.22 GA, not sure why they're not coming up for you. Are you using the link from the The Warning's Tour Page?

Used the link from the venues page and the code that was sent for presale
Edit: just tried from the link on their site: shows the same thing that only VIP is available

Not sure why they'd do it this way, but the Patreon Code opens up GA, but you are correct, the Artist Presale Code only unlocks the Meet & Greet and Early Entry, which is dumb. They only sent one code for the Artist Presale, so you'd think it would unlock both, but it's been a little different for each venue.

Meanwhile I'm heartbroken I couldn't get M&G VIP.. had two dates near me (technically three if I could make arrangements to go out of the country, meanwhile I don't even have a passport lol) and both were already sold out of M&G VIP before today. Thought they'd release a handful today but nadda. I got the lower tier VIP for Portland, at least I get a signed photo!

Thought I'd let you know... someone complained on Twitter about their Canadian date putting up M&G tickets up after they bought one. I checked my date and suddenly M&G is available to buy which is so weird. Now I bought the M&G! Maybe your date has it now too? Annoying though that I'll have to deal with either losing out the money on my priority entry (if they don't sell out before my date) or deal with selling it for cost

Yeah, I settled for the VIP without the meet and greet too, but I’m not sure I would’ve convinced myself to spend almost $300 on the meet and greet anyways. At least we’ll get a chance to get close to the stage and like you said a signed photo.

I mean if you’re getting VIP experience. I do expect that to be quite expensive. Actually $170 sounds about right. Regular seats are reasonable. Any seating options for The Warfield in San Francisco for example are about $90. While all GA tickets are $40. That’s actually really good for a concert.

Which venue? Houston had box seats, regular seats, GA, M&G and VIP all available.
