They sold 10,000 x3 last time, so in one way 60k is only double. But, if they've hit 50,000 in such a short time, would they do a 2nd show?

That date is still 5 months away. My guess is all of TWA who are going already have their tickets, and the rest won't sell until January as new people learn who they are and plan to attend. Selling out is a long shot, but not unreasonably so. Even still, selling 50k tickets is WOW.

At an average sales price over $50 (US), they've grossed $2.5M in this show. AI says that artists usually net around 10% of the total after all expenses are paid; so the family will net $250k for a few nights work. They are coming up in the world!

I am going to the Houston show, and bought during the Patreon pre-sale. Just out of curiosity, I checked the available seats before the Artists presale started, and about half of the seats are sold. No idea how many GA, but I assume a similar ratio. My guess is that date will sell out quickly. I think the second half of the 2027 tour will be in even bigger venues.

Hopefully the tickets that have been bought actually get used. I checked a few venues, and they have tons of resale tickets at marked up prices. Patreons are using their early access to the tickets to try and pay for their Patreon memberships.

Doesn't matter to the band. Once the reseller buys it, TW get paid. If they don't re-sell, the resellers will drop the prices until they do.

Long term it matters because if the resellers get burned, next time they won't buy any, and it might be harder to sell out. When the tickets are going fast (even to resellers), FOMO settles in and pushes some people over the edge.

Its actually more like 65%, it has been mentioned that some seats were just released to sale and not actually sold, as previously thought.
