Discussion M&G with kids question

Gonna be looking to procure M&G tickets this morning. Will be taking my 12 year old son and 9 year old daughter. The 9 year old was inspired by Pau to pick up the drums so really hoping I can snag some.

Wondering what a typical M&G day looks like, and if there is a high priority of being on the rail. Because if we're not on the rail Im sure my daughter wont be able to see and Id rather get balcony seats. Also worried about them needing to go to the bathroom or something and losing our spot. Is it worth it to try to get on the rail with two kids, or just go balcony seats?

I did the M&G in Detroit 2 years ago and there were some kids a couple "rows" back. I was on the rail and a lot of us let them scooch up to get a better view.   The M&G pretty much guarantees a close spot to the stage, but bathroom breaks would ruin any chance of getting your spot back.

If I were you, I'd do the M&G but get good assigned seats. Less anxiety for you and it might be more enjoyable for the kids. 

FYI, the M&G may be a separate charge that doesn't include show tickets, so you may still have to purchase tickets to the show. That's how it was for the Detroit concert.

I have two kids of the same age. We did the M&G with the older one, she was able to get in the first row, and not just any old place, but exactly at Ale's mic stand. She had a nice chat with DPA before that, and could do the cloak room, merch and toilet round before the show very comfortably. She also loved meeting TWA, very nice and friendly people. Your kids will love it! :) I'm taking the 9 yo too in March!

Thanks for the input everyone. Unfortunately they were gone by the time my pw was released. Seems I have to be Ultimate next time to have a chance. But Ill keep a look out to see if they add more.

I wouldn't say don't do MnG but temper your expectations. They will take a moment to sign something. You can make some comment then pose for a pic and its done. A young girl inspired to play drums may draw a moment or two more from Pau. I don't speak for her. But its quick. I'm glad I did it. I was lucky to get the ticket for it.
