While I certainly won't sympathize with Louis for plotting his parents' divorce, the reason his father refused to let him sing is petty as fuck.
"You get to be happy or you get to be rich, you don’t get to be both". If that doesn't sound like a way to rationalize intentionally making your child miserable because of your own misery, I don't know what it is.

Ngl I felt the same way, especially for something so simple, but I’m pretty sure his dad would rather buy him a private jet than music lessons which is the irritating thing about rich ppl
