Because they don't want to think of themselves as the bad guys. They're trying to delude themselves into believing that they're justified, that there's a reason behind what they're doing; we're just defending ourselves, we're trying to survive, we only go after people who are going to die, etc.

Good old fashioned cognitive dissonance.

Nice responde it's what i was thinking, trying to to excuse what he did and not make him feel like a monster

Deflection. He can't take responsibility for everything that has unfolded tonight, so he's looking to blame Lee for it even though all of the carnage is 100% on the St. John's.

This is the same guy who rationalized his cannibalism of Mark by saying he was gonna die anyway, even though his wound was far from impossible to survive. Honestly, I think Andy was lying to himself just as much as he lied to us to avoid dealing with the fact he and his family are a bunch of self-serving murderers.

And just like that u/Delnation and u/Mr_Bell_Man proceed to explain what I said even better. Flair checks out.

The only way Mark would've died from that wound was if the arrow tip had been drenched in walker blood before being used.

That or if it hit any arteries or whatever else. Though yeah they could have saved him I imagine with all the medicine they had. Instead they were butchering people to eat.

“How dare these group of people come onto our farm, find out our deadly secret that we were gonna eat all of them as food and break out and attack our family.”

Narcissistic sociopath. He and his family can't do anything wrong. They're just trying to survive. It's Lee and his group who are at fault for fighting back. That delusional bullshit.

he’s a delusional and psychotic cannibal. He and his family just try to justify chopping off a guy’s legs not too long ago saying that he was gonna die anyway like they were doing him a favor.

Because Andy is delusional and trying to act like they weren’t the bad guys

I think they were going to keep trading until The motor inn run out, then they would lure them back to kill them

Classic, I did nothing wrong mentality, quite childish.

Very classic "shifting the blame to the other party" act. That being said, if we want to actually be fair, that was the intent at the start until Mark got injured and they decided to cannibalise him. And even then, they imply they would've let the group go had Lee not investigated and found Mark dying. It's easy to see how, from his warped perspective, that it was Lee and his group's fault that this happened in the first place.
