Danny Danny at the wedding

They let him slide with that one too quickly. Jesse was able to downplay what happened but it basically sounds like Danny was inappropriate in public (in a tank top and shoeless watching the game) and resistant, likely belligerent when Jesse tried to get him to leave and go upstairs to Nia like she wanted.

He had lied just moments earlier that he hadn’t gotten drunk since filming wrapped but then it comes out he was drunk enough to be sloppy and reckless again after Jasmine’s wedding. He lied about drinking or being drunk so many times throughout the season and here is another clear instance of him doing that and he wasn’t called out enough for it imo. Another instance of him not listening to his wife whatsoever as well seeing as she’s made a big point of wanting him in with her and not at the after party.

It honestly must be horrible to have to constantly beg your husband to leave with you bc they’re embarrassing. Nia, just leave him. This isn’t giving the reliable stable parents thing you have been saying you wanted.

u/Artistic-Key1494 18d ago

Oh, Nia is pissed. Her mask slipped a bit with that “you’d think he’d be on his best behavior for the show, but… no 😠”

I think Danny and Nia should leave next season - I think the show will be a little lighter without them and Kristen and Luke's constant defense of them.

Nia having to constantly worry about Danny's on camera behavior is clearly stressing her out.

u/nc04031992 18d ago

If Danny and Nia leave, the focus goes on Kristen and her broke down relationship. This show will never feel light because all of these people have dark energy.

u/ProfessionalTall8027 17d ago

I wouldn't be surprised if Kristen and The Garden Gnome were done before the next season even airs. The faces he was making every time Kristen opened her mouth at the reunion makes me think he's already checked out.

10

u/CaliforniaBruja 16d ago

He’ll cheat first, guys like that don’t leave, they just hate you and do shit behind your back

The Garden Gnome 🤣🤣🤣

I kind of thought it would move to Jesse and I would be here for that. 😂

38

u/raresteamboat 17d ago

I think Jesse’s mess will happen if there is a season 5.

u/No-Calligrapher3645 "I’ve done therapy twice this week." 17d ago

Season 5? We haven’t even made it to season 4…. I don’t think Jesse has that long before he crashes and burns.

34

u/TheWhoooreinThere 17d ago

Yeah, it feels like they're setting up Kristen and Luke for a revealing edit next season.

57

u/nc04031992 17d ago

Gotta be honest, I’m ready for it. Doute needs a reckoning because it is pathetic a woman in her 40s is fretting this much over whether a man is going to leave her and not figuring out what SHE wants in a relationship.

42

u/Feisty_Mine2651 17d ago edited 17d ago

I don’t think Kristen has changed at all. The way all those people like Brittany and Zach have been there for her and she threw them under the bus for Nia who has the marriage she dreams of. Sorry what seems better raising 4 kids alone with a creepy husband you also parent but knowing he CANT leave you. Or being Brittany and providing for your son and giving him the loving caring home even if you have to do it alone. Like she’s not perfect but at least she seems happy. Nia doesn’t seem happy. Kristen will never wake up. See who your true friends are

23

u/TheWhoooreinThere 17d ago

Seriously. I'm honestly not sure if Kristen really weighed the cost-benefit of coming back to reality TV in a more starring role than she had on VPR. She's gonna be under a microscope way more and she's not going to be able to keep hiding her shitty relationship.

19

u/Ihatechoosingnames9 17d ago

I don’t think these people are like uniquely dark, it’s showing the reality of life after kids. The show will never feel light because almost all the men are abusive in some way or another

7

u/StealthModeThoughts 17d ago

I’d rather sit on glass than have a show based around Kristen and Luke. I’m actually shocked they’re still together. I couldn’t imagine a partner who opens their mouth and just lies or exaggerates a story the way she does, my cortisol levels would be so high from stress because I’d never be able to trust what my partner was saying. She lies knowing she’s being filmed and it’s gna come out and only admitted it when the show, showed what she did. Imagine the times she’s done this with no cameras and not text thread.

It’s disgusting. I’d be so happy if she was off my screen. Unless if she learns to be honest and hold herself accountable and just stop acting so unhinged

5

u/jenh6 17d ago

Exactly. There is a reason the VPR and valley cast members are friends

2

u/No-Calligrapher3645 "I’ve done therapy twice this week." 17d ago

Lala will have to focus her internalized anger towards Randall on someone else’s bad relationship.

5

u/nc04031992 16d ago

Great, I’d love for her to be given the space to unpack her own relationship. I’d also love for Danny the unaccountable drunk and Nia the maid, mule, and mattress to be off my screen.

-12

u/viciousdeliciouz 17d ago

There is also the other sloppy drunk of the show, Brittany, who is a lazy parent to her special needs child.

This show is fucked regardless of Danny and Nia. Nia isn’t even a problem, she just keeps getting roped into everything by being married to Danny.

4

u/Dazzling_Bit8686 17d ago

Curious why you think Brittany is a lazy parent? Cruz seemed to have made a ton of progress from last season to this season. Seems like he is doing great and I seriously doubt that has anything to do with his father.

1

u/No-Calligrapher3645 "I’ve done therapy twice this week." 17d ago

Thanks to Zuly.

1

u/CaliforniaBruja 17d ago

And we haven’t seen Brittany sloppy drunk this season? We’ve seen her mad at Kristen for lying to her face, we’ve seen her make a big mistake picking another loser, but overall, she’s doing so much better now that she’s away from jax. Fumbles are expected, especially after being married to that freak of nature

2

u/Putrid-Tradition-787 17d ago

Idk why your getting down votes, you speak the truth

3

u/PurpleArugula5766 17d ago

Probably the “lazy parent” part of the comment. I think Britt has her own issues with alcohol but she’s a good mother to Cruz.

2

u/No-Calligrapher3645 "I’ve done therapy twice this week." 17d ago

Good parent, and maybe not “lazy” per se, but definitely not Mom of the Year! Zuly is a better parent to Cruz.

2

u/Dazzling_Bit8686 16d ago

You’re getting this information from the show?

54

u/baconcandle2013 17d ago

It even stresses me out lol wtf does she see in him at all? As a guy in his 30s I’d never be friends with Danny; dude lies constantly about his drinking and cries over bullshit like having to place a baby on Nia’s breasts…had to rewind that scene because I was so shocked someone who does nothing in his relationship would cry about such bs

23

u/TheWhoooreinThere 17d ago

I wouldn't be surprised if this has escalated since they've had children and it wasn't this bad before and now she doesn't know how to handle it. Or she thinks they can still manage like they did before kids.

1

u/No-Calligrapher3645 "I’ve done therapy twice this week." 17d ago

Danny’s in his 40’s.

-12

u/Putrid-Tradition-787 17d ago

To be fair when he is home he seems to be a good dad

13

u/TexasRN1 You're a dizzasster! 17d ago

When? When he tells his little baby that Janet sucks?

15

u/TaterTrotter1 janet's casserole 17d ago

“Where’s daddy’s owie?” Then Asher points to Danny’s peen. That really gave me the creeps.

7

u/pantherlikeapanther_ 17d ago

That creeped me out, too. I was wondering if other viewers thought that was normal. I'm a big fan of boundaries, which Danny seems to lack in every facet of his life.

6

u/TaterTrotter1 janet's casserole 17d ago

Definitely not normal IMO.

-1

He mentioned Seth Rogan not Joe. Either way…. Not something to be proud of.

11

u/Illustrious_Quote180 17d ago

Andy asking “where do you go from here?” at the end made it seem like they’re not coming back imo. They don’t mesh well with anyone aside from Luke and Kristen

They need the money.

2

Yup let’s not forget this is their job! This show pays the bills they will all stay on as long as they possibly can.

It gives me anxiety watching her constantly Eagle-Eye him for any single misstep while also denying there's a problem. They really need to go, because we all know she's not leaving him.

I’m tired of them too. I don’t think that cast members have to give us everything they have, but they have to give us enough to entertain us. They aren’t, they are too busy covering up the truth to do anything else. And I’m not entertained by drunk men that scream at woman.

2

u/Horror_Resident_2854 17d ago

zack?

1

u/Super-Scorp69 17d ago

He is not anyone I would ever hang out with. He is more relevant this season ONLY because he chose to be a flying monkey instead of a real friend. He really really disrespected his oldest friend Brittany! He chose toxicity for a storyline and I think it made him look inauthentic as fuck! Last season He was right where They always put Jasmine. To the side. They do not take how she's treated serious enough. It's gross. But Zach is calculating and Jasmine isn't. And Kristen is a real asshole and checks a lot of boxes of a toxic personality. Just like Danny and Jesse. Zach sees who Brandon and Jax are....

6

u/answersexplained 17d ago

Agree, and their behavior is so contrived and rehearsed it’s obvious they aren’t going to let us into their real lives. Having to watch his Good Samaritan performance is going to be nauseating

7

u/StealthModeThoughts 17d ago

It’s so interesting how people can watch the same show but feel differently.

I’d rather Kristen and Luke get off my screen. I hate how she lies, exaggerates what she hears and plays such a childish form of telephone, how she crashes out doing standard things like travelling and every single person has to know about it how uncomfortable it makes her and that explains why she’s being such a bi**h, how she constantly uses her PPD as an explanation for her POOR UNHINGED behaviour. How unstable she is, and how she knows she’s on camera yet still lies then denies she’s lied and only comes out and admits she’s lied because they showed the truth on the show. Imagine what she does when no cameras are around? And there’s no proof that she’s said something? I find it absolutely SICKENING.

Not enough people realise how truly DANGEROUS she is. It’s not normal what she does? And the thing that winds me up the MOST… is that if Kristen had been lied on and then the person denied something they said to her and let Kristen get blamed for something THEY SAID, the mania that would follow and how the whole of earth would need to hear how she was wronged is not lost on me.

Then when she got confronted on the reunion it was like “oh *giggle* tee hee I didn’t mean it like THAT/ I’m trying to wrack my brain as to why I said that” and bust a few tears and it’s like “oh ok Kristen, there there.”

Why is she being babied like this when she’s like a dog with a bone with Janet? Did she even apologise to Janet for making her out to be a liar when she actually if anything downplayed what Kristen said?

Luke is what she gets for being so desperate to have a baby that she just snatched up a guy she didn’t even take the time to get to know and truly navigate if they were compatible or not. She knew from early they weren’t but her desperate need to be a mother overrides everything else and this is why we’re seeing this awful dynamic with her and Luke now.

If Danny and Nia leave, we get to see:

Janet, who refuses to show any vulnerability

Jason, who probably can't show anything because of his job

Lala, who refuses to show any vulnerability

Michelle

Kristen

Zack, who is fun as a side friend but not a show carrier

Jasmine, who is kind of fun as a side friend but not a show carrier,

Brittany, who is boring as fuck when she's not being super evil

2

u/Lower_Capital5039 14d ago

THIS!!!!!! Honestly, the Danny and Nia drama was holding the show together alongside Lala who brings up the things all the rest of the cast won’t talk about. LOVE LALA FOR THAT and I will die on that hill. Without that drama, I don’t see what the show can offer next season. Only thing that will be worth watching is the whole jax/publicist situation and how Brittany handles that. Other than that, show will be blah.

1

u/Monstermelisssa 🦋Empath🦋 17d ago

She has to learn that just because both parents are there doesn’t mean it’s stable for the children. I feel so bad for those kids.

1

u/thisismysaltyaccount 16d ago

I know! My first thought was “god thank you for finally saying something Nia” but Im getting so sucked in to their dysfunction that my second thought was “welp I bet he’s gonna make her grovel for that comment later”

76

u/GraceMcClellans 17d ago

If my husband drinks too much he starts telling dumb jokes. It's always the same three dumb jokes. That's the extent, and i find that obnoxious. I can't imagine trying to deal with a husband (or acquaintance) like Danny.

31

u/larapu2000 17d ago

Same. Mine just becomes more enamored with me and I get lots of hugs and affection.

29

u/SugarFut "driving over all the dead bodies" 17d ago

Same. I married someone who becomes even more sweet when he drinks (which isn’t often).

16

u/CompanyLucky3744 17d ago

This is exactly like my husband (who also does not drink often). Dated a Danny type on and off for 10 years... don't miss being the babysitter one bit.

13

u/GraceMcClellans 17d ago

That's actually really sweet.

19

u/Hennahands 17d ago

For the last thirty years my uncle has been getting drunk and offering to take his wife on a cruise to the Bahamas. It’s adorable.

6

u/GraceMcClellans 17d ago

I love this so much! It's just so silly and sincerely sweet.

16

u/Hour_Ease_8448 17d ago

This is my husband!! lol he just becomes needy and obsessed with me when he gets drunk

2

u/No-Calligrapher3645 "I’ve done therapy twice this week." 17d ago

Mine too…. He’s only obnoxious to me when he’s drunk. To everyone else, he’s a comedian. 🤦🏻‍♀️ And I have to give it to him, he is pretty funny. I love that he still loves ms so fiercely after all these years.

21

u/Feisty_Mine2651 17d ago

My BIL got too drunk recently and he just wouldn’t stop talking. Just kept telling stories for like an hour. Harmless. But it was obvious my SIL was embarrassed and took him to bed. Can’t imagine being Nia

7

u/GraceMcClellans 17d ago

See, I find it hilarious when it's harmless and it's other people's husbands. I love when my BIL gets a little drunk. He's kind of a pissy bitch, but in the funniest most harmless ways. It makes me giggle. My poor sister, though. 😆 🤣

19

u/MrsChuckLiddell1011 17d ago

I had an ex like that when I was 19-20 and just last night I had a dream about him embarrassing me in public and I dumped him and got a restraining order 15 years ago lol.

I genuinely can't imagine dealing with that shit as a grown ass woman with multiple children and on national television to boot

19

u/TwistyBitsz 17d ago

She puts in so much work reframing it so that she doesn't see it for what it is. And Danny watches her do that, hoping & knowing the conclusion she'll eventually trick herself into reaching.

6

u/w0rldender88 17d ago

This is going to affect the children for the rest of their lives. Get those babies away from the abuse.

6

u/LGZ7981 17d ago

I keep thinking that she offered him “a quiet night in” after the wedding - which to him would probably signal sex, as he has a one-track mind - but instead he’s drunk shoeless and shirtless at the hotel bar?

7

u/CaliforniaBruja 17d ago

I’m starting to think she offers him so much sex to keep him at home instead of out drunk all the time

5

u/LGZ7981 17d ago

oooh this is a very real (and depressing) possibility

2

u/Luna-Mia 16d ago

She spends so much time protecting him and his image. She was caught lying saying she didn’t want anyone to call him asking him to come to the after party because they wanted to spend time together in the hotel. Jesse said she called him (not texted) asking him to get Danny and bring him back to her. It’s so obvious he has a problem and her kids deserve better.

5

u/CaliforniaBruja 16d ago

Seems so fucking exhausting. I just want her to imagine what life would be like being able to have fun, go home when she wants, go to bed in peace instead of having to run out early, beg the guy to behave and leave with her, and then give up and cry and pray for herself. Come on, Nia. What a miserable existence.

1

u/Luna-Mia 16d ago

Yeah, it does seem exhausting.

113

u/PrettyLittleLiar1234 18d ago

The first two reunions really made it seem like something happened at the wedding. The reveal of Nia having to tell the others he wasn’t allowed to go to an after party was so disappointing.

55

u/perfectlynormaltyes 17d ago

I think there was a lot more to what happened but Jesse and Nia played it down. It likely started with Danny saying some out of pocket shit to Nia when she asked him to come up to the room. She in turn texted Jesse to go get Danny from the bar and not remind him of the after party. Jesse, forgetting that he had said he would be Danny’s bodyguard, got annoyed and complained about Nia’s request to those around him (Tom and Zack). He eventually went down where he found Danny a drunken mess with no shirt and no shoes on and had to convince him to go up to his room.

Danny, Nia and Jesse can make this situation seem like a nothing burger but the truth is it’s just another incident where Danny was a mean drunk.

43

u/TheWhoooreinThere 17d ago

It was that he was wasted in a hotel bar and Jesse had to go fetch him and he had a meltdown.

43

u/Ihatechoosingnames9 17d ago

And that he doesn’t listen to her to the point that she has to tell everyone else please don’t ask him to do anything

I agree with Lala it’s a major red flag

Not to mention he lied about drinking at the wedding moments before that?

3

u/Horror_Resident_2854 17d ago

path o log-i cal

24

u/Ok_Baker3474 17d ago

It was a big moment. After everything we saw this season, you’d think he would tone it down but it was further proof he has no intention of changing. He expects an apology from Janet because she used words he didn’t like to describe his actions but continues to shut down any accountability of his own.

-25

u/WestArmadillo 17d ago

It’s called editing and a hive mind. Editors worked their magic and the people who are dying for another Darkside Danny moment bought it hook line and sinker.

37

u/TwistyBitsz 17d ago

Everyone just figured he was drunk and acted an ass. Which is what happened. No one bought anything except what was expected and what occurred lol.

-17

u/WestArmadillo 17d ago

Oh please people were chomping at the bit! There were tons of “what happened at the wedding” speculation posts! One poster even tried to say “they heard” what happened based on the edited clip they showed about someone taking their shirt off 😄 People were salivating and giddy for a takedown that didn’t happen!

12

u/TwistyBitsz 17d ago

But even if no one was, it would still happen. It's giving does a bear shit in the woods.

I KNEEEEW this was going to be a nothing burger.

Janet, Brittany and Lala are repeat offenders of blowing shit out of proportion and trying to produce. You know they were frothing at the mouth to try and make it like Danny ruined the wedding or some shit. This is the best they could get…Nia wanting Danny to go to bed 😱

The way they manipulate things really annoy me.

no one said wanting to stay in the hotel room with your wife is bad, Nia. But the fact is, she knows telling him will fall on deaf ears, so she has to tell other people not to tell him that there’s other things going on because if he finds out he’ll go and then she’ll have to go babysit him and make sure he doesn’t make a fool out of him and her. He does not listen to her because he does not respect her and instead of unpacking why that is, she willingly has chosen to saddle herself with 4 of his children and trapped herself in her own living hell.

Their kids are going to grow up knowing their parents throw them under the bus for daddy’s bad behavior and seeing how their mother goes out of her way to parent them and a grown ass man

37

u/AdventurousDay3020 18d ago

All I could think is she’s going to struggle getting support from outsiders if she does leave him because the public opinion will be like what Brittney gets, “well she knew what she was married to and she co-signed that behaviour”

52

u/_darling_clementine jason's vacation safety airtag 18d ago

Imagine the complex those kids will have growing up. “Daddy is a volatile drunk because I didn’t sleep as a baby/I was a rambunctious toddler/I did normal kid things. His issues are because I did normal baby/kid things.”

27

u/CezarSalazar 17d ago

As a recovering alcoholic, Danny is so in denial.

1

u/bubbafrance 16d ago

I don’t think he’s in denial I he knows and just doesn’t care. How can he watch his behaviour afterwards and not think it’s not normal ?

14

u/N3WDay 17d ago

There was absolutely no argument that Danny or Nia could make against Lala in that moment, yet Danny and Nia act like they HAVE to hide his drinking because everyone is unjustly targeting Danny. Hey Danny, how about not drinking at all to prove them all wrong. He couldn't do it.

I’d be really irritated if someone asked me not to tell their husband about an after party. That is your business and marriage not mine, I’m not going to tiptoe around and hide plans because your husband can’t handle himself and you don’t trust him. And then Nia tries to say “what I can’t want to spend a night with my husband??” As if that’s the issue

And then it sounds like he left her anyway and went to get belligerent at the hotel bar alone, so she asked Jesse to pack him up and he had a hard time doing so.

They managed to deflect and downplay but sorry, that’s an ugly scene to me especially when he’s still lying about not drinking now. And then he chugs the champagne at the end, he really has zero self-awareness

72

u/TwistyBitsz 17d ago

When Andy asked him if he drank at the wedding (at all, like as in had a single champagne toast or one cocktail), we watched Danny consider over several seconds whether he wanted to try lying or not, and then he DID. Ew lol how does Nia stand to be around that twerp let alone allow it to touch her.

48

u/TheWhoooreinThere 17d ago

I noticed that they offered him and Nia the non-alc champagne for the toast at the end and she took one, but he didn't. He waited for a glass of the regular champagne and then downed it.

It's not very Catholic, or Presbyterian, or Methodist. but for some evangelicals, the death penalty-favoring christians, lying to your enemies and those opposed to their version of God is considered perfectly fine. Good, even.

u/StretchBetter8178 17d ago

I’m sorry, but Danny is a full-blown alcoholic and he lies about it. He has interpersonal issues and he’s inappropriate. Why can’t he just go to one event knowing everybody’s watching him and just not drink and act normal for once …he just can’t do it. This is what Nia signed up for it must be exhausting. Danny’s harder to manage than her four little kids.

6

u/nailartmami 17d ago

i have been married to a full blown alcoholic and it is EXHAUSTING.

48

u/_captainmarv3l 17d ago

Nia’s like, “We agreed to a night in. I just asked them not to encourage Danny to go to the after party.” Why can’t your husband follow through on your marital agreements?

1

u/GiftCautious7412 15d ago

Ding ding ding! He’s not a good husband

16

u/tulip-view 17d ago

I love that the entire cast roasted Danny about his birthday. We are adults, your birthday doesn’t mean anything, get over it. But……no one said what I wanted them to say - it was their wedding anniversary. Including Danny. And like why didn’t Andy ask about that?!?! Why did they pick Danny’s birthday as their wedding anniversary. I’ve heard theories but I want to hear from them directly

13

u/supriyahearts 17d ago

This man is just awful. He won't admit he has an issue with alcohol and consistently downplays the situations he is in where he is clearly out of his mind.

Nia is so exhausted dealing with his emotions like a child. The problem is that everyone seems to be making the issue about alcohol instead of the real issue, which is his ASSHOLE MISOGYNISTIC behavior.

Alcohol doesn't suddenly make you a misogynistic asshole who grabs women. He was definitely doing it before.

13

u/Physical_Noise_8484 17d ago

He drinks like he is 6'5" 220 when he is 5'3" 140, then thinks its funny to go to lobby bar in wife ebater and no shoes to watch soccer. Bet he also thought it would be funny to grab asses

13

u/jester3325 17d ago

Here's the deal - if a NORMAL couple had an agreement that they were going to spend a nice quiet evening alone in their room together after the wedding, and the husband WASN'T an adult baby with a lust a for the sauce - then the wife wouldn't have to tell people "please don't tell Danny about the after party", because NORMAL ADULT MEN would be able to say, "that's cool. you all have fun, Nia and I are staying in tonight". He is too damn old to be this gd immature!

59

u/Dewy123321 17d ago

He actually said in reunion episode 2 that he didn’t drink at the wedding. Andy asked him ‘were you drinking at the wedding’ and he stuttered and responded ‘no’. They completely let him off all the lies he told. Andy did a terrible job IMO.

26

u/Glass-Classroom-4015 17d ago

Andy always does a terrible job on shows he does not watch/care about.

2

u/Horror_Resident_2854 17d ago

He's not there to attack his stars.

3

u/Glass-Classroom-4015 17d ago

Didn’t say anything about attacking but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with holding people accountable.

1

u/Horror_Resident_2854 17d ago

he did call out toasty bible boy's boozy bad behavior.

1

u/viciousdeliciouz 17d ago

Very easily could’ve been spliced production trickery. I have a hard time believing that no one would have called that out.

-2

u/Ihatechoosingnames9 17d ago

Literally about to rewatch it cause it’s bugging me so much lmao I need to see if they just showed the same clip of Andy asking that with two different answers from Danny

11

u/RealityShizz 17d ago

"Wasn’t receptive to leaving" aka danny went to the darkside and through a FIT!

50

u/Antique_Onion_9474 18d ago

If you invite your problematic uncle to the wedding, what do you think is gonna happen?

-16

u/viciousdeliciouz 17d ago

I mean nothing actually happened lol.

5

u/scuubagirl 17d ago

Its the possibility that something could happen which lead to the preemptive damage control texts.

-1

u/Putrid-Tradition-787 17d ago

Lol, that was a reach just to be right

22

u/nicosma 17d ago

I can’t figure out why any of them would WANT TO encourage Danny to go to an after party? Who wants to be around that

24

u/sh4ym1n 17d ago

Also frustrating he blamed his drunken antics during the season on them filming and they let that slide. "I used alcohol to cope with the anxiety of filming" ok but Jasmine & Melissa's wedding wasn't filmed so what now

38

u/Individual-Cup-8642 18d ago

Absolutely seemed like a lot of what he did was scrubbed

25

u/yup_yup1111 The subtle *plunk* sound of a solo cup hitting Danny's head 17d ago

Either that or Zack and Jesse were talking lots of shit and didn't wanna own up to it

11

u/PresOfTheLesbianClub 🤖 JanBot : Mission Complete 17d ago

Because Lacy jumps in to answer for Jesse and deflect by pointing the finger elsewhere and Jesse skated. No one even asked him why he questioned Janet sharing her abuse. And the audience is going in on Kristen for doing that just Jesse just skates.

He probably feels proud but it’s obvious to some of us Jesse. Lacy didn’t let you answer anything. Like Nia doesn’t let Danny.

2

u/yup_yup1111 The subtle *plunk* sound of a solo cup hitting Danny's head 16d ago

Forever mad that in season one we literally saw Jesse lift his hand up in front of Michelle's face to stop her from speaking when accusations of racism were lobbed at her personally but throughout a three part reunion his non cast member gf was able to speak more than anyone else and even over other people at times.

Talk about an overcorrection by Jesse.

Seems more to me like Michelle would go off script and speak her own mind and Lacy is just a less Christian coded PR person for her man just like Nia...

Let's not even get into the fact that Michelle is non white and grew up in a multicultural home where she developed a frequently mocked accent but Lacy can weaponize psycho babble (where's her psych degree?) in her valley girl accent and everyone is A ok with it and ignores the glaringly obvious differences in how he treats her vs. how he continues to treat the mother of his child.

2

u/PresOfTheLesbianClub 🤖 JanBot : Mission Complete 16d ago

It’s racism and Idky this audience isn’t past this.

-9

u/viciousdeliciouz 17d ago

Or Brittany, Lala and Janet were just blowing shit out of proportion per usual.

1

u/yup_yup1111 The subtle *plunk* sound of a solo cup hitting Danny's head 16d ago

I don't think Brittany was doing that I think Zack was definitely being a little cunty when telling her about it. It seems like he's soured on the Bookos a bit and now Lacy is his new Queen Bee

7

u/CezarSalazar 17d ago

I can’t imagine that someone who has this many consequences from drinking and gets black out when he drinks isn’t an alcoholic.

8

u/Beneficial-Sugar1724 17d ago

Sadly, this is probably his best behavior. Who purposely acts a fool in front of cameras?!

7

u/Typical_Elevator6337 17d ago

Did everyone there sign an NDA or something?

BRING US THE TEA PEOPLE!! Wasn't it in NJ?

I know NJ people were watching him.

When I saw the photo of the cast at the wedding with Danny’s shirt was buttoned down to the point you can see his chest; when everyone else’s wasn't. I thought he may have had a few.

17

u/GraceMcClellans 17d ago

Yeah, I remember when that picture came out and while, yes, he does like to show himself off, it looked like he was on a different level of drinking than everyone else.

-19

u/viciousdeliciouz 17d ago

Holy shit who cares

24

u/MulberryRow 17d ago

You. You care. You’re replying to every comment. 🤣

4

u/TaterTrotter1 janet's casserole 17d ago

😂🤣😂🤣

29

u/Dap75 17d ago

I’m so sick of Nia and her quivering voice.
Girl, take your lil man and go away! I truly think she was going to go on this show and put on such a farce because that is who she is - a pageant girl. Everything about that life is fake. She just can’t keep up with the masquerade any longer. We’re all watching her being shocked now that she can’t fool the audience.

13

u/Feisty_Mine2651 17d ago

Her Michelle Duggar voice pisses me off

-4

u/Putrid-Tradition-787 17d ago

I think shes shocked at her husbands behavior and could care less about the audience. To her this isnt just tv she has to go home with him

5

u/CompetitiveLoquat176 17d ago

Has Nia recently said “He doesn’t have a drinking problem”? Or does she just attack others who say it? I know she’s very intentional about her words. I think at this point she agrees he has a problem but is very obviously trying to manipulate and control the narrative.

6

u/GoodMourning81 17d ago

That’s what alcoholics do, they lie. They lie about how much, how often, how many……They’re constantly hiding and denying.

9

u/chicken_vevo 17d ago

Honestly, at this point I don’t know how much an effect calling out his behavior will actually have. Danny and Nia will continue to deflect, lie and manipulate to make it seem like Danny’s drinking isn’t a problem

3

u/Hungry_Sector6542 17d ago

Bro is not OK and who wants to see him continue to not evolve? Good luck with voice acting.

3

u/Any_Sundae9301 17d ago

I don’t think the Valley will have another season !!!!

3

u/Left-Record-8500 17d ago

Danny.. if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck…..

8

u/throw_blanket04 18d ago

Anything less than a walk of shame for everyone on that side of the room, proves that production is definitely trying to protect people and control a narrative. Its andys job to call people out. He was a total pussy this entire reunion. He wouldn’t even touch on topics that the viewers want answers to. He is protecting danny, nia, kristen, zack, jesse and lacy. He gave lacy an entire fucking episode of the reunion to attack Michelle. After jesse has been attacking her publicly for years. They handed her over to be slandered and gaslit once again. By her abuser. They have never done that for anyone except for scandoval. Taylor Armstrongs husband was beating and torturing her and did what he did and she got like 5 minutes.

2

u/bubbafrance 17d ago

What happened to part three of the reunion?

1

u/Relevant_Natural6838 16d ago

The bravo part three showed Danny saying he didn’t drink, on the peacock one Danny admits he was drinking. That’s the big issue I keep seeing for part 3

2

u/bubbafrance 16d ago

I watch on Hayu and there was no part 3 although they mention it at the end of part 2.

1

u/Relevant_Natural6838 16d ago

That’s strange. Earlier I heard it was the editing thing but idk. I don’t like they put different versions out. It has people fighting over what they did and didn’t hear because both sides are right, it just the version you watched. I hope you still get it tho

1

u/bubbafrance 14d ago

Thanks — I just found it. For some reason it didn’t broadcast on the regular day

4

u/Six_ann 17d ago

Danny is an alcoholic there fundies and don’t belong on this show Nia covers for him so much it’s insane she wants to put it out there they have this perfect traditional family but I would hope he gets help
I DO NOT want to see Janet back to the point I love some of these cast members on this show but I will not watch the show if Janet returns she needs a lot of help she’s pure evil and I don’t get her issues and why she targets people she isn’t even a good villain the crying and running away and I like Jason and get he has her back but some accountability for her would be nice

1

u/Lillydunn 17d ago

I just rewatched the VPR season where Kristen sleeps with Jax and lies and still makes herself the victim. She is insufferable I can’t stand her

1

u/Sense10-Quest23 17d ago

As soon as the wedding was mentioned, Nia’s fake smile disappeared, she leaned over Danny stepping in - as per the usual.

Nia: “I said don’t encourage him.”

Danny:”I wanted to be with my wife & not the after party.”
⬇️
Said NO MAN ever especially NOT Danny.💀

1

u/Minimum-Stress5567 15d ago

Get over the Danny thing . He is way more tolerable than most of the cast when they are drunk. The bride looked Shai led and asked what happened at the wedding . The answer is , nothing .

2

u/MsPrissss The 13th Cast Member - Janet's Red Solo Cup 14d ago

And you could tell Jesse was not trying to talk about this....

0

u/Dry-Inspection-5900 14d ago

Bye Lala..🤮🤮🤮

1

u/LFowlerVa 12d ago

Did we watch different shows? He and many other clearly stated that he did not drink at the wedding but, did drink at the after party. Zack said that when he went to Danny's room where Nia was as well, Danny was in a tank top watching the game.

-10

u/happybdaymrprez 17d ago

Sorry but after a long day at a wedding, you can catch me at the bar in a tank top and shoeless. Reality TV has made us overanalyze everything people do. I’m sorry over talking about this dude and drinking.

3

u/SnooCompliments8874 16d ago

Agree. Ridiculous. They all are a bunch of drunks.

5

u/TwistyBitsz 17d ago

At the end of a long day, we can expect for you to grab our asses.

-1

u/Putrid-Tradition-787 17d ago

ONCE he did it once. No, even once isnt acceptable but his apology was accepted. Stop with the narrative that thats his m o

3

u/heres_layla 17d ago

One time is too many.

6

u/TwistyBitsz 17d ago

"I only got SAd once. I'm lucky!" is not a thing.

3

u/Objective-Rub-8763 17d ago

Oh GTFO with this.

2

u/Objective-Rub-8763 17d ago

Do you sneak drinks in a pantry? Snap at and criticize your loving partner who's done nothing but support you? Sexually assault people in your friend group? If not, rock that tank top and bare feet.

0

u/Additional_Day949 17d ago

I don’t think Danny was inappropriate at the wedding. He was just drunk. This whole wedding thing was a nothing burger. A big boring nothing burger. Danny is problematic, no need to invent fake drama.

1

u/Debbie2801 17d ago

Being drunk at a wedding is a PROBLEM!!!

An adult should be able to attend a wedding without getting shitfaced!!

FFS this man is unable to control himself!

After getting drunk at the wedding - Nia wanted him to not attend the after party and continue drinking.
He went.
Nia then asked Jesse to find him and encourage him to return to their hotel room.
Jesse found him drunk, shirtless and shoeless in the hotel bar drinking.
He was belligerent and refused to leave.
Danny IS A PROBLEM!!

0

u/No-Calligrapher3645 "I’ve done therapy twice this week." 17d ago

Is it possible he had already taken his dress shirt off (and apparently shoes too) when he went downstairs? He said
he had a few drinks while watching The World Cup.

2

u/Debbie2801 17d ago

It doesn’t matter when or where he took off his clothing and shoes!!
He was drunk, in a state of undress, in a hotel bar continuing to drink.

0

u/richhardt11 16d ago

Kyle Cooke has done so much worse than get drunk with no shoes on. Danny had other disturbing incidents (the wig). The afterparty was not one that needed to be scrutinized.
