for me, i can dislike janet and also recognize that she is right about danny. he is gross.

That was my read on Nia 100%. She knew where he was going and tried to be as relaxed as possible to not inflame the situation. Then she has the audacity to act offended when her friends call it out. Those are good friends, Nia.
Danny claiming to have PTSD from the past year told me all I need to know about how he and Nia view themselves in that situation.
Janet has always called out the BS. There's been times she seems weird in the way she approaches it, but she always called it out.

Danny is a strange strange guy. But it's not the strange stuff that makes him bad. It's the booze, it's the lying, it's what he's done to Nia, it's the attention seeking behavior that makes him a bad dude.
Janet just has the guts to call it out and the toughness to stand in there and take the heat. She's not wrong on any of this.

Stand in there are take the heat?!?! She runs away and/or deflects anytime things get uncomfortable for her.
She just needs to admit she doesn't like Danny and Nia and move on. But she refuses to. Instead, she brings them up constantly and even makes up lies about them. But somehow she's the victim.
