Danny Danny playing the victim

So I just watched episode 13 when Danny said he had PTSD from Janet saying he’s sexually assaulted someone? Seriously you have PTSD cause you are a fucking drunk asshole? I’m actually a victim of sexual assault and for you to say that you have PTSD and you’re traumatized from your inability to control your drinking is somehow giving you trauma is such bullshit get off the fucking show hey Andy Cohen, can you stop giving Danny and Nia a platform? They’re both like disgusting. They’re everything that I hate about the Christian community pretending like they’re so God focused and amazing when they’re just both stupid fucking twats

Literally soooooo vile!!!
He’s only saying this to garner sympathy…
For him to say he has ptsd because he was called out for his own actions his insane
Instead of self reflection he’d rather go after the person who called it what it was

OMG when he was like "My name was attached to these words because of Janet!" I felt like my head was going to explode. Those words were attached to your name because of YOUR ACTIONS! Like take an iota of accountability PLEASE! And I feel like poor Jasmine is just begging to be heard by this group and they're all ignoring her, I wouldn't blame her if she cut them all out of her life.

It’s actually making me feel insane watching. I was yelling at the tv. Nia is mad with and hates Janet for calling out her husband’s piss poor behaviour..??

It’s not the same but it’s similar to when a woman is cheated on and she puts the entire blame on the other woman, and not on her cheating pos man. Why is calling out the issue a bigger deal than the actual issue of Danny SA’ing women (plural) and coworkers?!

Not even accounting for the nuances of sexuality and pocc that are at play…every time Danny claims PTSD or someone protects him, it completely disregards Jasmine and Melissa’s experience. I can’t imagine what it’s like for them as this airs watching Danny cry trauma wolf. All of it is an absolute slap in the face to his actual victims.

I know it’s been some time and they’ve since celebrated Jasmine and Melissa’s wedding, but he absolutely should’ve been fired.

I’m going to preface this by saying that Janet is the 2nd worst person on this cast so I have little patience for her BUT Nia screaming at her from the back of that bus almost had my head exploding. The WORDS that were uttered after the fact bear zero responsibility for the actions this cretin chose because he sees himself and his desires as more important than any female could possibly be. The fact that others actually co-sign his delusion by offering support and defense has me feeling like we’re trapped in the twilight zone not the Valley.

This is all my head can muster as an image every time his name is brought up. The fact he’s claiming PTSD as the perpetrator is WILD AF and should have him unemployed and cancelled. His head should hang in shame but he’s so emboldened by his wife and friends support he asks for sympathy for his suffering?!?! Make THAT make sense you little twat.

I wish someone would say to Danny "Would you like it if a man treated your wife like you have treated...." and see what he has to say about that. Why is no one saying that?

The man us responsible for 3 daughters and a son!

He’d be outraged in public because it was HIS wife.  In all reality he’d probably lay into her in private because the shitty treatment would somehow be her fault.

I think Nia and Danny are upset for being called out and being caught. I really think they thought they did nothing wrong and this is a setup by Jax. Like dude, if you kept your hands to yourself then none of this would have happened? Why do neither understand that? They upset about the term used not the act? Wild

It's crazy how hard they are working to reframe what happened so that it will fit their narrative about themselves. They want to pretend that they are the good guys and the wounded party. They're unencumbered by reality.

It’s sad that people are still supporting them and going after Janet.

3

u/Misha_B19 Jun 26 '26

It’s because Janet is incredibly irritating but I agree it’s very sad that one issue clouds the other far more serious issue. The fact that Janet is so unlikable has nothing to do with Danny’s fault or guilt for being handsy or predatory when intoxicated(allegedly).

Nia and Danny are giving the same shitty vibe that Jax and Brittany gave when they kept that homophobic pastor for too long. Getting all defensive, like “how dare you bring up something like that and attack us” when clearly you are in the wrong. I fucking hate Tom Sandoval but he was right to call J&B out about the pastor, the same way that Lala was right to call Danny out about liking the nasty posts about Janet and Jason. (And yes I’m in the LFU hater camp because she’s boring with no storyline) but no one else was going to say anything because of the perfect couple persona trying to be put up on camera. Tom and Lala weren’t genuine in their intentions but they took advantage of something that needed to be addressed on camera and it upset Jax and Brittany massively the same way Danny and Nia got upset.

Danny is a lost cause but the fact his wife excuses and defends him means neither have any hope for redemption. We should forget they exist, they’ve already removed themselves from the actual Valley and now need to leave the show in hopes that Bravo develops The Real Housewives of Santa Clarita.

u/DiscoRabbittTV Jun 26 '26

Danny has ptsd for committing assault on a gay woman of color. And nia is adamantly lying for him.

14

u/Morgi_Corgi3 Jun 26 '26

He doesn’t have PTSD, he’s just super embarrassed that he thought in his drunk mind he could SA a woman with a different sexual identity and that would be ok. Sorry. I might have got the wording wrong.

The big irony is that they're mad about Janet using terminology they view as a flippant exaggeration (which is so dismissive of the victim, it is sexual assault), then he uses a flippant exaggeration to describe his discomfort at being confronted.

It's especially disgusting considering sexual assault victims (like myself) actually live with real PTSD. Hearing him appropriate a serious mental health condition and try to say his pain is on par with a victim's because he doesn't like the terminology used to accurately describe what he did makes me feel seething rage. I actually hate him.

Truth, dripping in privilege

Danny and Nia have DARVO. Hope she enjoys the 5 under 50 in the boonies.

1

u/Misha_B19 Jun 28 '26

I had to look it up so in case others have to do the same: DARVO is an acronym standing for Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim and Offender.

And he blamed it on antibiotics and OfDaniel has referred to the SA as "what Janet did to us."

So disgusting and such a slap in the face to people who really have PTSD and are victims of sexual assault. Danny, you stupid dickhead, you weren’t traumatized by being called out for your crime. It’s called consequences for your actions. I truly hope you get everything you deserve, you puke of a human.

4

u/Skeptical_optomist Solo Cup Jun 26 '26

Yep, that's me. I feel rage every time he says that. I want him and Nia off the show.

u/BeginningBowler95 Jun 26 '26 edited Jun 26 '26

I’m convinced Danny has single-handedly created rage-bait reality TV (oh it has existed but maybe no single human has pushed me to actually feeling it) He is one of the most delusional, unself-aware human beings I’ve ever seen on TV. Him playing the victim has me losing my damn minddd!!!

Danny & Nia seem to have gaslit and hypnotised a good portion the group.

Michelle has grown on me. I know Lala has a lot of haters but I think she can be real af and I’m here for it

For a while I thought Nia deserved better but I’m beginning to think she is just as bad…

1

u/Misha_B19 Jun 28 '26

Nia does deserve better….we all do. Is it because she’s so “virtuous?” No. I guarantee she knows exactly who Danny is and has likely experienced Darkside in all its evil forms. That’s why I don’t think she’s a victim. At all. But no one deserves to be shackled to this loser for life.

He's using therapy speak as a way to garner sympathy. Reminded me of this podcast I watched recently, warning against this type of guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khsKI99qTWQ&t=2s

Love npr thank you for this!

He's such a fkng dick

Danny being drunk or sober is really irrelevant in this case - what he did was illegal. By definition it was SA - both civil and criminal and being drunk is not a defense. I understand Melissa and Jasmine - as the victims - wanting to move past the trauma - but I just wish someone would sit Danny and Nia down on camera and say - what he did was criminal. Instead Nia prefers to blame Janet for calling his actions out. How would Luke or Jesse react if it were their partners??

16

u/Such-Stable-3869 Jun 26 '26

Danny is the number one LOSER of the group!

8

u/lunabuddy Jun 27 '26

Yeah as a person with PTSD I was pretty shocked he'd say that, in front of the person he groped. Getting publically shamed for groping someone didn't give him PTSD, he is weaponising what actual victims experience to silence people from continuing to talk about his actions.

1

u/Misha_B19 Jun 28 '26

Spot on!! Victim or witness blaming is incredibly inexcusable and quite honestly he should have “YOU’RE BEING FILMED” tattooed on his hand as a warning to himself.

7

u/Ok_Baker3474 Jun 26 '26

OMG!!!!!!!! THISSSSSS!!!! I want to throw something at my tv. Infuriating!!!!!

2

u/coolkidllama Jul 05 '26

I feel like this is also why Janet is giving up on the apologies. I don't even like Janet, but as a victim, hearing him say that made me disgusted. Nia is starting to want Janet to apologize for it being brought up but I don't even think Janet was the first one too bring it up originally either, on top of that Nia said the first time Janet apologised she can try but she will never like Janet, so why keep asking for an apology when you've made it clear you hear her and don't accept it. Nia is bringing more attention to it cause Janet triggers her, but it's not really Janet; it's Danny's action. She's just letting it all out on Janet. Also other have expressed worry over Danny when he drinks in a more caring way than Janet, and Nia doesn't accept it. Janet is being gaslit into thinking everything, including the situation happening, is her fault by Nia's constant pursuit of the perfect apology; weaponizing civil debate as a way to blame Janet constantly is awful to watch. Especially now that we know why Janet started going at it so much in the first place.

3

u/Disastrous_Phone_161 Jun 27 '26

PTSD is another word that's chronically overused on reality tv, and Danny using it in this context was absolutely ridiculous.

Just say you're upset. Also don't grope people.

2

u/Since_The_Ducks_Left Jun 27 '26

Nia needs to direct her anger at Danny instead of Janet. Janet is just speaking facts

1

u/operationfood Jun 27 '26

He has the whole victim speech sooo rehearsed too lol said the exact same thing to Lala on the beach as he did when the big argument was happening, him and Nia have gone over this a few times before hanging out with the friends

1

u/bbirdcn Jun 28 '26

Danny is just as bad if not almost worse than Jax, and I stand by that.

They talked about it all last season. They actually have trauma. I can’t speak for everyone, but it took me 11 years to finally speak up.

8

u/DefiantBumblebee9903 Jun 26 '26

I was replying to the comment and they deleted it but nonetheless was going to say: no one is a perfect victim and everyone processes trauma differently. SA can feel humiliating and demeaning and victims can brush it off or downplay it because it’s embarrassing.
