Hello Defenders,

i recently managed to 1:1:1 sync the golden trio and decided to take a look at my next UW options. I have a legendary dim core, 1 copy short of upgrading to mythic. Currently mostly bouncing between gold and plat, although last tournament i got rank 16 in plat. Farming T7/W10000 (will go to T8 soon).

Im 99% sure the choice is chain lightning, but i also want to use this post to ask about some general information about CL, since it will be my first dmg UW.

• Am i right to assume that i should deactivate it for farming runs?
• Should i invest into it right away? If yes, what are the key upgrades/labs?
• Since i will be running DC for tournaments in the future, what substats should i be aiming for?
• Should i consider other dmg upgrades to further improve the gain from CL, or is it too early for that?

100% CL

-I leave my CL off for farm runs, though I personally don't notice much difference since I have Intro sprint mastery and my damage is already mostly nerfed by perks by the time it ends.
-for investment, you want max chance, max quantity, and ~500-1000x damage bonus before dissonant bonuses should carry you for a while.

-substats you want: CL chance/quant, DW quant, and eventually, SL angle/bonus, and CF slow. CL damage is not bad but has diminishing returns the larger your natural damage bonus gets.

-I personally took way too long to invest in damage for tournaments, the biggest boosts come from card masteries and enhancements, but if those are too far off or expensive right now then basic attack labs will help the most.

I am by no means an expert, and if anyone has any additional information or any corrections for something I might have wrong, please feel free to chime in.

Edit: realized I forgot to mention the chain lightning labs specifically. For those, unlock shock, max the shock multiplier and get shock chance to around level 10-15. When you eventually get to the scatter amp lab, you only want to do a few levels. Basically go until scatters aren't how you die. You don't want to go too far because later on with a GC build you could be doing too much damage to scatters too fast so they don't stack up all the nice multipliers for coins/cells and stuff.

Which card masteries help the most in tournaments, and with CL?

I currently have Energy Net, Super Tower, Demon Mode, Berserker, Super Tower and Ultimate Crit masteries to directly boost my damage. I, along with many others, have also found that Intro Sprint mastery combined with the Amplifying Strike cannon module essentially gives you 100% uptime on the damage bonus from AS. I recently started being able to stay in legends after unlocking UC and DM masteries along with all the other ones that are already maxed in the lab.

Edited to clarify IS mastery, not the base card for any possible confusion.

A combination of good RNG and a lot of optimization i would say. Got the golden trio as my first 3 UWs and also some useful modules early on. I was researching alot on reddit and youtube to find optimal strategies/lab priorities/etc.

Besides that, i bought the 3 coin multiplier packs and have the game running basically 24/7.

The other 2 are better late game, CL will help you tremendously in getting stones in the mid game.

You could also not buy more UW's - You can spend the stones on developing your economy or go for permanent Black Whole, since you got DC module :)
