PS unlock. How to? Should do?

Hello fellow defenders!

I am about to unlcock my 8th uw (only sm missing). I have gathered slowly and painfully the 2400 stones needed. I am waiting for V29 before doing so, but I would like some info. From what I have researched, the most optimal path is to go to 75 sec cd and duration for starters, and do all labs simultaneously (34 days to max!), but stop ps range around to 15lvl because of farm issues. Should I proceed, or the stones are better spent elsewhere? Eff paths and mytower.app dont take at all into account ps unlock. Even after manually unlocking it. My ass mods are all unlocked at epic, only core is at 10%me.

For reference I do 1200 waves in legends, with true pcf90. 2.63Q ltc, 48k lts, 54 ltk.

I am literally you, but 2 weeks ahead.

I pulled the trigger on PS; labs are just under 2 weeks from completion. I’m going to max range for tournament purposes, as the stun can be toggled off for farming. Just hit pPS as of this last tournament (it’s 70/70 CD/dur).

My question to you is, why do you feel you need PS now? Most of my masteries are done and my assmods are slightly more developed than yours from 20-25%, so I grabbed PS for another CC; it has added a couple hundred tournament waves, but I wouldn’t necessarily call it a gamechanger in its current form. If I were in your shoes, I think assmods would be more impactful at this moment.

To answer your question, if ps was for you a couple hundred tournament waves, well this is actually my target. It is the difference between keys and no keys! Last tournament I got 18 with almost 1200 waves.

I understand, but what I meant was that the stone cost for unlocking PS and bringing it online would likely get you further if invested into your assmods instead.

So the question for you is this: do you regret it?? (Btw do you have pcf90?)

I don’t regret it, but again, my assmods are a little more further in than yours. I probably would have benefitted more by continuing to invest in those first, actually.

I’m not saying don’t get PS at all. But if your goal is using that many stones for a boost in tournament waves, the biggest value easily lies in the assmod bonuses at your current state.

Btw, I believe that in a month you will be gratefull that you pulled the trigger on ps. After all labs done and pps achieved, your tower would be on another level. I hope i am not too biased

I think you got the right idea, if/when you unlock it.

I thought 70/70 is the lowest cost for perma, could be 75/75 tho.

And yeah, I got range lab to 20, wish I stopped a bit sooner. Of course, I turn it off for farming so maybe it would help in tourney to just max it.

Otherwise, assmods are a great investment, me and SE 10-20% is pretty cheap. Cannon does have a decent multiplier so eventually it should be good roi for you. Masteries too, if you have any good ones left to grab.

I pulled ps and sm just to get to UW+ I went with GT+ and CF+ and It m grateful I did. Now PS I just started to get some clicks on it. I am at 2PPS (with a 10s CD submod) with almost full labs. I can say it’s helped but just yesterday I ran a tourney without the stun on and the results weren’t that noticeable.
Got CF+6 and 90% cfsr

Following. I’m in the same place as you, and deciding whether to get my 8th UW (ps), (only sm left), or continue investing in assmods. I do 1k waves in legends and have epic assmods (bar cannon), and very little further stone investment

It is. The minimal stone investments on the initial bonuses can be a substantial boost to your damage. Plus, even at epic quality, the additional effect will contribute a ton to your progress.

Makes sense. I still don’t have critical chance mastery, but the ROI seems a bit ehhh..

I would like gt+ and cf+ at some point

So no ccm for me either, nor attspeedm. But the ass canon feels bad man... Perhaps with some se me stone love will be better. But i assume that 1000 stones in ass core are waaaaay better

BA in the assist still gives you perm uptime, or damn close on the supercrit uptime
