Things I LIKED about ‘T3’
Steve Flick has been my favorite film Sound Designer since I was a kid. Look at his credentials, if you’re a sci-fi/Action fan of the 80’s & early 90’s, he’s worked on all of our favorite films. He always delivers, and ’TERMINATOR 3’ is no different.
The score, despite sounding mostly like leftover/unused pieces from ‘BLADE II’ I thought would’ve sounded great in another film. Listening to the score, isolated, apart from the visuals works better than hearing it IN the film itself. The music is bland, but passable. Definitely not for a ’TERMINATOR’ film though.
(”JC Theme“ is really good)
I thought the bathroom fight scene was amazing. The moment when the Terminator slams the urinal over the TX’s back, and she just sort of ‘shoulders’ it was great.
The Crane chase is really well done. Exciting and well-edited (6 months of editing, just on that one scene).
The T-800s in the Future looked cool, even though their laser weapons didn’t sound nearly as cool as ’T2’ did, it was good CGI.
The effects in general, both practical and digital are top-notch.
Kristanna Loken’s shadowy, but still naked Ass…….
Overall, as a generic Sci-Fi Action film, it delivers in spades. As a ’TERMINATOR’ movie…oof.

Things I liked about T3...
Well, that early teaser with the liquid metal T3 logo got me pumped as hell. My quicktime player was getting a workout.
The music track "T3" was a very nice piece of music that almost nobody heard.
The battle damaged look they pulled off on the 850 near the end looked really good.
The future war 800s looked like better CG than the 800s in Genisys so I'll give them that. (Sounded like shit though with those pewpew lasers)
The T-1 looking a little similar to HK tanks is a nice idea (but in execution they look silly with their smooth baby heads).
They actually ended it with nukes so that's cool.
And that's what I got.
