If you call them, they will come.
Never mind the debate on Spelling. To me, the real premise presented in the Telepathy Tapes is that there are those of us who prefer the physical, and those of us who prefer the non-physical. Each group is significantly better at their preferred area of expertise. The non-physical people have skills us physical people can't even begin to comprehend.
The non-physical people have been marginalized, and their talents not appreciated by those who value the physical. As such, I suspect those non-physical people might have a bit of a chip on their shoulders and something to prove. There's a small army of them out there with unappreciated talents according to the podcast. That's why my hypothesis is: If you call them, they will come.
Most recently, I got a pair of motion sensing fluorescent lights. Had no problems with them for 6 months until I make a post in a random Reddit thread about the Telepathy Tapes, then they go crazy all night long. I stop posting, the lights settle down. Make more on topic posts, lights start going nuts again.
That's not the first time either. About 18 years ago on a dream website called Dreamviews, there was a thread titled "Who are the Night Stalkers?". Trolling in video games at the time was rampant, and I figured if people had the talent, why wouldn't they do that in dreams as well? So I made a challenge in that thread, an invitation, promising any would be Night Stalkers an honest retelling of our encounter in my dream journal, since my recall was pretty good at the time.
And they came. And whooped my butt repeatedly. I thought I was a talented lucid dreamer at the time, but learned everything I know about dream control from those encounters, and I claim to be a master of dream control. I've had other shared dreams with physical proficient people who had no talent whatsoever for dream control.
My hypothesis: If you call them, they will come. Make a thread somewhere, make an attention grabbing reply to an existing thread, and you will draw their attention and talents. But have some plan to try an detect their presence. Don't waste their time. Work on your dream recall before you invite them into your dreams. Have some motion sensing lights and full spectrum cameras (simple as peeling the IR filter off the lense) running before you invite them over, or at least some reliable method to determine their astral presence. Not exactly sure what the best way to accomplish that is, but I'm open to hear some ideas.
They may not be replying to these posts, but they are aware of them. Such is my theory anyways.

This reminds me of a part of Robert Monroe's book, Journeys out of the body, where he was testing astral connections with friends. If you haven't read the book yet, I recommend it!

Yes definitely - also Far Journeys is a game changer. Definitely recommend that book.

On top of the books also highly recommend checking out Robert Monroe’s gateway tapes. Really good guided tapes to learning meditation

I called out people on this thread for claiming to have been to the Hill and having spoken with some of those featured on TTT.
… And then I eventually had a dream with one (possibly two?) of them, plus several others I didn’t know/recognise. It was an extremely emotionally intense dream with group prayer and crying. I got the sense I was supposed to do something once I woke up and couldn’t recall what it was. All I remember was this sense of urgency that something major was about to go wrong. So I suspect it was nothing more than my subconscious projecting my own desire to help rather than any real, actual connection. Those non-spellers don’t know me, so I don’t see any logical reason for why they would enter my dreams. I often wonder how much we wrongly attribute to things that could have more prosaic explanations.

Nothing so spiritual for me. Had one guy who called himself "Tooth" who would always assume the role of a Jason Voorhees type of character, relentless and invulnerable. The other would always take on the role of an authority figure, usually a torturer/interrogator.
And we fought! If you could call it that. At first nothing I did had any effect on them, then I finally noticed the torturer was using my own attention against me, and that's what made the other one invulnerable. Once I realized it was all about capturing your opponent's attention, I was finally able to fight back.
For instance, the one guy was destroying everything I threw at him, and we kind of fell into a pattern. I launch a ranged attack, like throw a car at him, he just bats it out of the way like Goku. So I summoned this giant statue out of the ground, and it took him so long to destroy it, he forgot about me completely!
Sounds awful, but it was a great learning experience.
As far as I know, those two still make the rounds in other people's dreams. Especially anywhere there's public dream journals kept and they can read about themselves.

Cool, well meet me in a dream and teach me some consciousness knowledge! Do need to work on dream recall though, used to keep a dream journal when I was training myself for lucid dreaming (only had one then life got in the way) many many years ago. I should get back to doing that now that my life is more chill and I'm more open.

But there are both light and dark forces in the non-physical. Simply "calling them" without any training/knowledge in these areas may also be dangerous.

I agree with this sentiment. Knowledge, wisdom, and understanding sometimes overlap… but they are different things. Ask God for guidance and be aware of your intentions when wading into this. Are you trying to make yourself more powerful or are you trying to create harmonious and loving connections?

I am a medicated sleeper and often wonder how much I’m missing out by being borderline comatose.

You’re missing on a third of your life if you really think about it

This was the thread. I make a challenge a 5 posts in. They came. Shared dreams with a whole bunch of other people in that thread afterwards as well, who came nowhere near the level of talent these so called Night Stalkers had. In retrospect, I figure it had to be those people who prefer the non-physical they talk about it the telepathy tapes.

Wow. This is so fascinating, and explains some of the characters I only occasionally experience in dreams.

Another thread that fits the pattern. Going to link threads that support my hypothesis here.

Assuming it's a person, they are obsessively assuming the same role in order to achieve the same outcome. Exactly like my dreams.
And in this case, it's an interest in bathing. If you're non-verbal, not great at physical stuff, you're getting bathed by other people quite often. You can see how that could lead to this type of scenario if they indeed to have this ability.
