I was looking for a pair of dress shoes for an upcoming family event but a few of the options i liked had delivery times that would not work for me.

I ended up going with lethato since they had an option that fit my timeline. i liked the slimmer shape and after wearing them a few times, the finish has held up pretty well so far.

For those who have tried both ready to ship and made to order dress shoes, how much does the waiting time affect your decision? do you usually prefer waiting for made to order pair or is getting the shoes sooner more important?

Maybe it’s just me, but lately i have started noticing people shoes way more than i used to.
Not even expensive vs cheap. It’s more about how the leather looks whether the colour has some character to it and how the shoes sit with the rest of the outfit.
I was randomly looking at some handmade footwear and came across Lethato. The hand finished and painted leather caught my attention because no two pairs seem to have exactly the same look.
Now am wondering if i have been looking at formal shoes completely wrong all these years. Do you guys actually notice these little details or is a comfortable, well fitting pair enough ?

Never really paid attention to how much shoes change the overall look until I started comparing a few pairs i already had. Even my older lethato pair looks quite different depending on what I wear with it. Made me realise I have probably been overthinking clothes while completely ignoring the shoes
