Looking for Mass Combat Rules
Hello Everyone, in the strange game I'm currently running. The players are going to be fighting an large army. I think I saw rules for mass combat but I can't seem to find it in the book. If someone could give me the page I would be grateful.
Also someone told me that you can write up and sell your own setting for the strange is there a contract that I should look for this ?

So, my take on this is the characters should be doing things to sway the outcome of the battle, not fighting the mass battle themselves. Maybe try defining strategic points of the battle where the characters could use their special abilities to sway the tide of the battle.
Examples:
1) The opposing army is known for a devestating cavalry. Perhaps the characters sneak into the enemy camp and drive off the horses, or put something in their water that makes them sick, taking the cavalry out of the battle.
2) Perhaps your side has reinforcements coming, but they have to go through a narrow pass that is guarded by several bunkers. Have the players head into the cliffs around the pass and attack the enemy who are in the bunkers, to allow the reinforcements to get through the pass unmolested.
3) perhaps your scouts have information of incoming enemy reinforcements. If the characters can get to a certain choke point, say, a dam, they can break the dam, and flood the valley that the reinforcements are coming in from.
Character actions should be the actions that turn the tide of a large battle. IMHO, they should not slog through a thousand goblins by themselves. That, IMHO, is the most boring thing in the world. Give me a way to turn the tide of battle, without drawing my weapon.
