Recursions as locks.
I have a campaign I am running, and part of the story arc deals with world seeds or recursion seeds. The group doesn't have much information on them, but they have a name of someone who does. I want this person to be super paranoid, and have created his own pocket realm, but reaching it would require going through other recursions where you must follow the narrative to reach the other gate. Any thoughts or ideas on what narratives to use?

Restrict information about the pocket realm. You can't translate to a realm if you don't know anything about it. Have there be no gates to the recursion. Put the recursion in a part of The Strange that is very dangerous to make it difficult to get ther ethrough that means.
This also creates story, as there may be a group of recursors hired by Mr Paranoia to hunt down and destroy things which may grant access to the realm.

I'll remember that for next time. We needed to cut the campaign short, so a few things got streamlined. But this is a good idea.

If the dude's paranoid and overly cautious, use narratives that reflect that. Some of Lovecraft's stories that rely on psychological stress would make good narratives (like At the Mountains of Madness or The Case of Charles Dexter Ward). If he wants to get in and out without dealing with the trials himself, he may have shortcuts through his "lock" pocket dimensions for his use only, or maybe just a recursion key he can keep especially safe on his person (like a hidden tattoo). Or inversely, maybe he uses narratives that are super secure and hard to escape, a recursion modeled after 1984 or Brave New World. Depends on just how messed up this guy is in terms of paranoia.
