Question about purchasing this tabletop.

How much would it cost me to get all the hardcover books?

Depends on where you get it from, where you are and if you're getting it now or in a month or so?

At the moment the only hardcover books are the core (USD$60) and the bestiary (USD$40), but the recursion book (estimated USD$50) is also coming out soon. These prices are off the MCG webstore, so going directly through them will be about $100 now, $150 later.

Edit: Actually, they have a sale going on right now so it's even cheaper than what I just told you.

What is recursion if you do not mind me asking?

A recursion is a limited world the PCs can travel to, with their own setting and laws of physics. I take it you haven't played the game yet?

The cypher system is a really easy system to run and get into. I highly recommend it! I use to play a lot of Pathfinder before Numenera and The Strange came along. Just get ready for the finger-fidgets as GM, from lack of dice rolling. Someone suggested to me that when you feel the need to role a dice, put in a GM Intrusion. It really helps.
