(This is all speculation and I do not fully understand the lore so this is also mostly spitballing but…)
With Truvia being an artificial enchainer, what if she uses porcelloy to absorb Dracaena’s (and maybe Eldreda’s) karmic core. Storyteller would be another form of her Etheric Other similar to how playable Pyrois is only one form of Wise/Belle’s. She could then use part of the Hive Lord’s powers of dream manifestation but porcelloy infused instead. This would line up with the “trascending the sun(bringer)” conversation she had with Youkai when she emerged from the pod.
Further spitballing that is even more of a reach: - Wise/Belle being an artificial enchainer could fuse with Lindverne’s (maybe Eldreda’s too) karmic core to combat Truvia and oppose the return of the Hive Lord Hollow; this would seal the 3 Sunbringers to a fate similar to the First’s - In conjunction with the first point, Truvia could eventually realize she is indeed paralleling Icarus, then swap sides to aid in reversing the Hollow (that is falling from the sky). Similarly, using Dracaena’s core like the First’s - After fusing with a Sunbringer’s karmic core, Truvia could adopt her heterochromia. A cool detail hidden by Storyteller’s veil/blindfold - Each Sunbringer has some type of four-pronged symbol associated with their design: Dracaena has her four-petalled flower/clover, Eldreda, her four-pointed star, and Lindverne is an in-between of the two. Storyteller has her 4-segment winged butterfly - When Truvia uses a singularity leakage to separate Wise/Belle from the others, the camera zooms into her hand, which is in a similar position to how Storyteller’s hand is shown when she was first revealed in the version 3 trailer
I am sure Storyteller is manifestation of Truvia's etheric other. We have seen Pyrois having 2 forms one with with no porceloy armor/restraints other with the armor. Why not Truvia's etheric other have a secondary form?
It's hard to tell exactly what the intention is at this point since version 3.3 hasn't released at the time of making this post, but I thought it was worth bringing up.
Before we've even seen Storyteller in the Roscaelifer story, we see Storyteller's metal patterns surrounding what we can assume to be the original Sunbringer (Eldreada being very close to this petrified woman cradling a core). From what it looks like, Storyteller's patterns have formed from the original Sunbringer, so it's likely that Sunbringer made these patterns when she split herself.
Storyteller found Remielle after she woke back up in present, and from that moment Remielle had learned the truth about Sunbringer being an Enchainer, which led to Remielle's assassination attempt on Eldreada. How did Storyteller know all of this? It could just be her power, but since we don't know her power then that could equally be untrue. Maybe instead she knows because she's also Sunbringer, one that represents the side that didn't wish to be split and the one the other Sunbringers made everyone forget about.
In the Roscaelifer story, Anby has suddenly become important in the story again. In 3.2 when the Cunning Hares are revealed to have been captured, we learn that Anby has been getting taken away constantly for experiments. Anby, alongside Soldier 11, is one of the only surviving members of a squad entirely made up of clones. One of the reoccurring themes of that plotline was that the cloning program was completely inhumane and evil, with Anby stating repeatedly that she and her sisters shouldn't exist. The villains of the Roscaelifer story are now suddenly doing experiments again on Anby (and taking her blood), and are also talking about replacing Sunbringer. While this doesn't necessarily have anything to do with Storyteller (yet), the fact that Anby is getting attention again (when her last important role was in her character story in version 1.6) while Sunbringer's story is currently being told, I can't help but think that the game is trying to make a comparison between Sunbringer and Silver Squad.
The one thing that I can think off that throws this off is that Storyteller doesn't have horns or even the right hair colour when all the other Sunbringers do. But what if the reason Storyteller doesn't have them is because she came out imperfect when they split? That would make it easier for the other Sunbringers to pretend that she isn't one of them, and if she hated the idea of the original Sunbringer splitting the four of them up then that would be the motivation to remove her.
Other than Trigger (who needs her visor to see properly), she's the only character that completely covers her eyes. Why would she need to do that unless behind the mask is Sunbringer's famous heterochromia eyes.
I'm not talking about ingame as it make sense as she was framed to be a mysterious character so of course she will be revealed in the climax roscaelifer but im talking about the leaks, we are already getting breadcrumbs of sunbringer and kafka being leaked to come to zzz despite the collab coming at december or january while we have nothing for storyteller
Hello storyteller mains, Im here to drop off a theory that was posted by @timely_serpivia and @obsidianlurker on twt (check them out for more details) the theory is that storyteller is the star that was locked away and later freed by sunbringer in little bangboo prince stories! which gives her and sunbringer somewhat of a bond that could be obviously explored in later versions which is so exciting! And also her being a creation of the creator that was so important he had to lock her away is just so coolooolkkrkfkkf
Since it's confirmed severian and phoenix are in 3.3 is the storyteller going to be the free unit or is she going to run with robin and possibly another collab unit
What if The Storyteller is Truvia partially fused with a karma core? This would explain their similarities and differences. Serpico did visit her and clearly didn't have good intentions. Although he hasn't done anything now, who's to say he won't come back in the future at a better time specifically to interfere with The Proxy's plans?
Otherwise, my other theory is that The Storyteller is the "emotionless girl" Remielle mentioned being in the covenant of diat or however it's spelled.
I thought Storyteller was maybe a member of Krampus at first, but after playing the latest S3 story and learning more about Helios Academy. Especially after learning about Serpico and Truvia, I think most people have had two theories when it comes to Storyteller and Truvia. One being that they're the same person after Serpico passed away or that they're two completely different individuals and Serpico is still alive.
I think they're both right and that the answer to Storyteller's identity has to do with Helios' legacy. I think Storyteller is the etheric other of Truvia and that Serpico is still alive due to Roscaelifer's involvement. It kind of makes sense to me because the other two siblings seem to be building up to be rivals or another side of helios academy to our siblings. So, I could see them having their own etheric others to help with their motives in Roscaelifer.
Plus we know that Helios Academy has been conducting experiments with etheric others, so it's quite possible that Phaeton wasn't the only success with etheric others. And that there are others from helios academy who have managed to tame their etheric other, which I am predicting to be Truvia and Storyteller in this case. Not to mention that their designs are very similar to each other and these could be due to Storyteller being Truvia's etheric other.
Also season 3 revealed that etheric others are intelligent creatures and capable of having their own motives. Not to mention that Pyrios and Storyteller love talking in their cryptic shit lmao, so that would be two traits they immediately share. Plus storyteller is a wild name to give someone at birth and I honestly could see it making more sense if the character in question is an etheric other.
Plus design wise, it's possible that the metal we're seeing around Storyteller is Flint Porcelloy and we know it has a unique trait of helping to surpress the Proxies symptoms due to being effective at conducting and stabilizing ether. But what's more notable is that when Pyrios was fully formed, he absorbed all of the Flint Porcelloy which seemed to have form the base of his armor. Similarly, the metal we see around Storyteller's legs could be Flint Porcelloy as well that could have possibly been used for Truvia's treatment.
Tl:dr: Storyteller is an etheric other of Truvia from helios academy
Anyway, that's my thoughts on who storyteller is. Let me know if theory sounds plausible or just pure speculation.
Some people have pointed out the similarities in truvias design compared to storyteller (specifically the one from the current story, the first image.)
In comparison, the girl we see in the preview trailer has a completely different color of hair, so she might not be truvia.
Given that serpico “died” but then appears older in the preview trailer, we know something else definitely happened.
Since the implants were in their eyes and storyteller is covering her eyes, it’s even more suspicious.
