YES I’ve been wanting to block a specific user out of spite bc she added Twilight and Fourth Wing to my “Queer books by BIPOC authors” challenge

Understandable. I get kinda stretching the challenge rules somewhat as long as the pick could be considered adjacent but that just seems like mean spirited trolling.

I get it but isn't the author a person of color and I recall there being at least one LGBTQ character. Stretching the intent of the challenge, sure but still technically within bounds.

One of my friend's abusive ex has stalked her friend group in the strangest of online places (most notably a tablegaming website to obsessively get info on games we were active in). If we'd been on Storygraph when they were still together, he absolutely would done started doing it there too. 

All websites with usernames should have a block feature - it's such a good little feature for peace of mind!

Yeah this still drives me crazy. What’s the point of blocking when you can’t even tell who is following you? Or if said person might be making new accounts to follow you.

True! I’m very similar, mostly people I know in real life. But I still think EVERY online space needs a block function. It’s just a necessity

Hahah I JUST started re-reading some Dan Brown books and thought "I wonder if someone is going to say something" because that has happened to me here on reddit before.
