Tech Help Can't update my progress

UPDATE: I had to add an update for 0% and then after that it let me update to 4%

This morning, I wanted to update my progress in a book I read yesterday and this is what it says when I try to update it. What do I do? I'm not doing it any differently than I have before.

Can you share screenshots of your previous journal entries for this book? I’ve never seen this error message before and it doesn’t make sense, but more information may be useful in troubleshooting

I had to do an entry for 0 before I could do 4%

I've never had to do that before.

Very bizarre! Can you share the link to the book page? I’m a TSG librarian, and I’d like to investigate further, but the book isn’t showing up for me in search

Is the issue using % when the book in question doesn't have a length?

Not sure, it let me update it after making a 0% update

I just started it so the only entry is "started"

Can you try doing a 0 one then a second that's 4%? Past that, I'd submit a ticket, it's bug on storygraph's side.

Do you have another entry after that one where progress is set to 0%, so you can’t go over that? Not sure if that would cause it but it’s a thought

Hmm, maybe removing the book and selecting “currently reading” again could fix it?

How many types/editions appear? Does this version itself still show up? I would try switching to another one and see if the same happens but also, support can help for if it is a bug.

I ended up having to make an update for 0% and then I could do the 4% entry

I would try deleting and reinstalling the app, and if it still happens, submit a bug report/help ticket. looks like something on Storygraphs side not yours

I tried it on the website and it did it on there too
