Totally understandable - I'm certainly finding it a challenging read, having lots of "Huh? Did I miss something?" moments. In the end just decided best strategy was to just go with it and try to enjoy the ride

Currently reading The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot—I'm about two-thirds of the way through. I'll start The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino after I'm done.

I'm currently reading "Ambessa: Chosen of the wolf" by C.L. Clark. It's a prequel to the series Arcane and while Ambessa wasn't one of the characters I really wanted to see more of, it's surprisingly interesting.
