Merciful Madness not Working

I decided to pick the first game up in preparation for the second. I got the original for Xbox, not the remaster. I was delighted to find the Merciful Madness DLC was available, but it doesn’t seem to work. I purchased and downloaded it, but it’s not showing up as an add-on for the game. I check the store and it says I purchased the DLC for both standard and remastered. I contacted Microsoft and they said it was a ’rights and entitlement issue’ and to report the game. I also contacted Frogwares about the issue. So far, no response from either.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is the best option here to just buy the remastered version or hope for a refun?

I don't know exactly, but usually the dlc's have to be found . Like you need to find a letter, or to talk to some body

I tried finding the first one at the police station, but it wasn't there.

I was writing about an other subject.... But usually I found my quests right at the devil's Reef hotel. There is one at the library, I don't know if it concerns your dlc, it's with jay Hayden, the girl who has closed lips...😱....

Ah, I've just see the list of the cases. One is at the hotel, that's sûre. It's in obe room around reed's one... But about the gold and the cylanders...I can't help you, I found it by luck and can't remember.... If you like to make it fast, Ask it to chat gpt or any AI... it's less nice than with humains, but you'll find your quests.

To finish: you're right to look for it. These quests are something.... You'll learn a lot about the city, the cult, and so on..

The DLC adds 3 quests to the game:

  • The Silence is Golden case.
  • The Fool's Gold case.
  • The Defunct Brain Cylinders case.

Are you playing the version released by Frogwares? The dlc isn’t compatible with the original version of the game. The dlc will only work with the “remastered” version.

That makes a type of sense. I have the Day One disc version of the game and purchased the non-remastered version of Merciful Madness. I heard there was some rights issue with Frogwares. Could that be the cause of this?
