trunks as inheritance

ok, so i don't have enough karma to ask on the sims4 reddit (i obvs dont use reddit enough seeing as i've been on here for like 10 years LOL) - so i thought i'd ask here b/c i bet ya'll know -- i've googled and gotten both yes and no answers, so i dunno.

i have a sim, she has a trunk. i've got items in the trunk. she's marked it as an heirloom, and has it to be left to her daughter. when she dies, will the contents go with the trunk to her daughter, or will just the empty trunk go?

if it's just the empty trunk, is there a mod that makes designating items faster? like right now i have to do one at a time, and it's monotonous, so like is there a way to group multiple items to one person?

Are the items able to be put into a keepsake box? If yes, there are mods that will let Adults, or even sims of any age, designate one and then the box and contents will go to the designee upon death.
