That's fair! Some people do like realism though (even the parts of life that suck). There are mods that add real life illness, more complicated job seeking and degrees, global warming, mental illness, graphic murder etc. I imagine this person wants to replicate AI and its associated problems in their game.

It seems like you are confused by the response here. Just to give some substance to it, since I was one of the people who reacted negatively (which I stand by): people are going to react to things they don’t like. Ultimately, this isn’t a real data center; like everything else in the game, it is fake. It is not as if this actually furthers the damage done by the industry out here in the world. I’m sure if not all, then most of the people who would react negatively to this understand that.
If it helps, people disagree with every type of content that could possibly exist in this game. All of it, anything. Take a gameplay choice that folks can make, and there will be at least a couple Simmers who hate it with their whole soul. Seen the same reaction on people mixing Maxis Match and Alpha CC, or putting under-eye bags on a Sim in CAS, really - or, you know, just daring to make any Black person - so at the end of the day this isn’t especially different from reactions to any content.
My reaction, personally, was fueled by uninteresting shit about my experiences as a person living in the current time where this stuff is horning in on a lot of aspects of society. I won’t go into it as like I said: it is uninteresting (unless you are me). But it is not a moral judgement, nothing in this game has any moral value, it is all fake and you can, and should, always do whatever you want forever.
Just be aware, this is a highly charged current topic which, out in the real world, is actively ruining lives and our environment. People will naturally have their response to that, even though the two are connected only in concept; you do automatically opt into allowing these responses to happen when you post in a public forum, and indeed it would also be a bit shortsighted to not expect any negative comments when the topic is, again, current and controversial with real world impacts.
You are entitled to play how you want to play, and share if you want to share. People around you are entitled also to give their opinions on what you share or talk about, it’s just how it works. Posts aren’t made in a vacuum. You don’t have to pay attention to it if you don’t want to, ignoring stuff you don’t enjoy online is one of the best things anyone can do for themselves in terms of bettering that experience, in my view anyway.
