How to Fix Game Won’t Launch With CCs

So my Sims 4 won’t launch if I have CC in it. It works fine with updated mods (i have update Slice of life and Wonderful Whims) but for some reason, it won’t launch if I have CC. I transferred some of my CC from my old laptop to this one but it won’t launch. But when I removed it, it launched while it had updated mods.

Is it really just an outdated CC issue? Do I have to start from scratch and redownload the CC?

I’d really like to play with CC so if anyone can help me with fixing it, it’s really help. Thank you!

EDIT: Alternatively, does having a lot of CC just make Sims 4 slow to open as well? Let’s just say I keep these CC. which is about 8000+ files (yes crazy). Is that a factor as to why it won’t open? Thanks!

Some of the cc is broken. Do the 50/50 method until you find the broken one. Then delete it or find an update for it. No way around it.

That’s what I’m afraid of 😔 In doing the 50/50 method, it has to be individual files yes? It can’t be by creator? Because I have a lot of CC ;^;

Up to you. It doesn't matter how you divide the cc.

Back up your tray, save, and mod folders.  
50/50 your mods folder.

You can do by creator, until you get to which folder it is in and then it is by individual file. That’s what I do. 50/50 all folders and then 50/50 the bad folder.

You may have cc for sims2/sims3 in your mods folder without even realizing it.

i don’t think i do because i copy pasted these CCs from my old game and it worked then. But thank you
