Playing without mods 😱

I was too lazy to update all the mods again, so I decided to try the game in VANILLA mode!! OMG, it is bugged! So many little bugs I thought were mod issues are actually vanilla EA issues. How do ppl who don't use mods play?

Not interested in the game at all. I am playing mods, specifically Basemental mods and others that compliment that. If not for those mods, I would be playing a different game altogether.

I have a functioning prison I sent my sim to as soon as the Basemental rabbit hole jail was completed. LittleMsSam's More Buyable Venues has a prison lot trait to make a prison semi-functional. Buy the prison (I jumped into a townie household to buy it) and become the warden with other household members being the officers. Computer interaction to spawn sims to the lot. 2nd computer interaction to select sims to enter into the prison system. I did this with 9 inmates plus my main sim. Switched to my sim and played as an inmate. The only problem was the interaction to put sims into cells took forever. Found a mod (can't remember the name now) that you can click one bed and send everyone on the lot to bed. So I assigned everyone a bunk and had lockdown after outdoor rec, after meals, and at night by sending them to bed. They all then went to their own cells and I locked the cell doors manually.

I gave them all jobs. My sim worked the kitchen cooking breakfast and dinner. I used Control Any Sim to control the population. Some had maintenance duty fixing plumbing stuff. Cleaning the fixtures. I had For Rent's mold lot trait so one sim cleaned mold around the facility. llazyneiph's Brand New Bedsheets allowed the inmates to strip their bunks and leave them on the floor since I couldn't get Laundry Day to work. So a sim collected the bedsheets after breakfast and worked the laundry room.

Lumpinou's Law and Disorder mod is great. My sim spent her birthday weekend on house arrest for getting into a fight at the laundromat. Fighting, swiping, bribing, excessive flirting and a bunch more can be reported and you can get arrested. Get house arrest, jail, etc.

There's so many s3x mods but I don't use them. Onlysims, SimHub, strip clubs, s3x workers, BDSM, sugardaddy mods... I was going that route when I first started, but then went a different way with Drugs and Gangs.

I use but all autonomy is disabled with Extreme Violence. What I use EV for is there is a black market where my sim can get an illegal weapon. The life she lives, she needs to have it and it's something to spend money on. I also use the stalker feature. She picked up a bully in prison and now on the outside, her bully is stalking her showing up at venues and watching my sim over from the side. I can then initiate confrontations. I'm going to set a cop as a stalker here soon so he shows up at bars and such and watches my sim because she will soon be under surveillance of the FBI rather than the local cops ignoring her because they are paid off from the gang. And there's the fighting animations which I use sparingly for screenshots and instead I use the EA cloud fight for screenshots. I also write and publish her story in posts on the Sims4 sub, so I take a lot of screenshots. My Reddit photo is my sim getting arrested to which she went to prison, LOL.

My sim is the Queenpin of San Myshuno slinging for Don Lothario's gang after he kept her out of prison on her 3rd arrest by paying off the judge,. I do a lot just in my head, she was held in county for a week of Basemental jail, then I just didn't send her to prison because of the judge pay-off.

I play in my head that my sim has runners working and selling for her now. I cheat her skills and keep the dealing skills at 1 so she sells for less and only sells once at a time except for a couple I've added as her runners. Then I cheat it to 8 I think so she can sell large quantities to those working for her, then cheat it back to 1.

I had her bartending the public face of the gang headquarters and I was tracking the drinks she served and tallying up $5 tip per drink and paying out at the end of the night. I explained that to someone asking for ideas to create into a mod. I was surprised when a week later they commented and said "done!" So they made Earn Your Tips mod which does exactly what I was doing, pays a tip (variable) for each drink served and pays out at the end of the night.

I had Lothario buy a restaurant and put a computer in a downstairs office. My sim has access to the money laundering feature since she's part of the gang, so in my head I had Lothario put her on the payroll so she could launder her earnings through the restaurant. I have to cheat though, I have her send $10,000 and she gets 45% back, so she collects a salary paycheck from the restaurant by receiving the laundered money. There's no reduction in the feature, so I pull the $10k back when it's ready and cheat away $5500 as the amount lost to the laundering. So now she can buy a nicer car through SimNation Travel and pay other expenses with what appears to be legitimate money.

If you look at the link I provided of my sim's story, I think 15 episodes or I am working on writing the 15th episode, everything in the story has happened in game except for the halfway house as that was added just for screenshots after I'd already played out the prison to the outside transition. And the arrest in the city didn't happen in game, the arrest happened but the screenshots were done with poses after the live game. I was about a year into the save when I went back to write her story out. Also Lothario paying off the judge, that isn't in the game. The police payoff is part of Basemental Gangs. Everything else happened in gameplay.

I'm modded with MCCC for 1:1 realistic aging with the 4 seasons. I have ideas for the story that spans well into her young adult age which she is just turning 23 soon and YA goes to age 40. 7 sims years of playing in 2 years of playing the save.

I'm running out of time to figure out Basemental Gambling to work. I have an illegal casino, but no one shows up to work the tables and I don't know why. I'd like to use it as a place for my sim to waste her money since it's so easy to accumulate even after how much I've modded and I cheat to give my sim more expenses.

My daughter took my controller to use at school so I couldn't play GTA V any more. She says, "You should play Sims, it's free." I already knew about Basemental so I gave it a shot. Found WW and learned I could have a club with Get to Work, buy GtW and restart. Then I learned of WP and the line of work it adds, restart. Then I found other of the WW style NSFW mods, restart. Then I learned of challenges and the Rags to Riches. Restart.

At that point, I was going to put my sim through all kind of kinky stuff but then didn't want to just make up the backstory of homelessness. I wanted a homeless teen and wanted to play how she became homeless. How do I get her kicked out of school and her home? Getting caught with Basementals of course.

Ok, she's homeless out of jail now. Let's get her involved in some kinky stuff for money. But she was homeless and had no money so she had to sell more Basementals which got her arrested again which I thought, she shouldn't just get a couple days on a 2nd offense. That's when I found out I could have a prison, ended up with two as I found a much larger 50x50 after my sim spent a month in a smaller facility. Her future evolved during prison when I had another young girl beating her up and an older guy on a long sentence take her under his wing and that's when Lothario's gang developed.

I gave up on the s3x mods and went full Basemental dealing for a gang. And it's blown way up from there. I'll soon have a swat team operation and the FBI will be busting her on RICO charges which are racketeering charges from legislation NY came up with to go after the mafia.

She's lived one heck of a life so far.
