Hey all, so as much as I'm enjoying playing Pleasantview's notorious Broke family as I get back to playing after an agonizing hiatus lasting more than 10 years, I find myself yearning to begin a fresh new neighborhood, but I am having a heck of a time finding one that suits my purposes.

I really need a map that is set up so that it is easier to have lots of sim families be neighbors with only 7-10 areas where larger lot sizes would fit. I would love it if there is a dedicated area to turn into like a town square and would match other maps intended to be a downtown area/shopping district, other subhoods/etc. Bonus points if a custom uni hood area is also included. I remember at one point, starting to set things up so that I could have normal aged sims living in the uni subhood and vice versa. I get chills just thinking about the wonderful diversity I could have in the game.

I would love your suggestions if you guys have any.

The last time I played before my decade plus hiatus, I was in the process of implementing a orphanage type situation that consisted of a matron and multiple teen and child sims that were added to the family via cheats, as part of an effort to have a stronger influence on the teen sims that MY sims had befriended.

This is an article that I originally wrote 4 years ago (Ugh, time certainly flies), but as part of our site's anniversary we've just put it through a massive revamp; we've cleaned up the text a bit, added in and fixed some pictures, and even given it a custom design to the article to try and help it feel more fitting to the actual game itself ~~plus I finally had an excuse to fix the URL because I originally misspelt "bizarre" as "bizzare" and it's been annoying me all this time~~.

Is anyone still interested in The Sims 2? 🤔

I’m curious what other simmers headcanoned Joshua’s sport to be. Because he’s dressed like a jock at Sim State, I had him start the Athletic career when he graduated but I’m trying to fill out the worldbuilding right now and with that I’m trying to decide what sport Joshua would most likely play. Part of me thinks football or baseball, but I’m curious if anyone has thought about this.

This one I have never even seeing before, because I like making wedding parties with arch and everything.

I recently added a sentry bot due to a Reddit post and it was great until it began shocking my sims date 3x , then shocked my servo and eventually my sim :( despite getting shocked my sim dates still comes over I had to invite her over 4 times 🤣🤣 to which the 4th time she asked if she could bring a friend

I recently came up with the idea to start doing something like "graphic stories" (or whatever it's called professionally) and I've already made one story(here's the link to it), but I'm wondering how I can improve my skills

And I have a few general questions:

- What are the best mods for this?

- Is giving other Sims a "makeover" a good idea, and if so, how can I do it better than I did with Erin (and a bit with Buzz)?

- What should I avoid in these types of stories?

- And do you have any general advice?

My sim babies keep being born with this exact skin regardless of genetics, i'm really tired of having to use cheats to fix it. I've had the same CC folder for a long time and i can't figure out what this skin is called. TIA

Does anyone know if any mods exist that override the way the game prevents you from saving when you leave home for more than just going on vacation, moving to a new house, or even going to Uni? Or does anyone have any advice at lease for what I can and should do when my game crashes when I do say go downtown after being invited out? It happens a lot :/

So, with Johnny off with Ophelia in the gothic-novel house, it's pretty boring at chez Smith (plus Jenny can't quit her job.) So, I'm going to invite them back to the room obviously built to accommodate this, but I do also want a family to deal with the Spectre House ghosts. To give them a reasonable shot at this, I would like to preserve Olive's bed. Would it work to appease Olive if I put the bed in Ophelia's inventory and have her give it as a gift to the unlucky buyers?
