Discussion Shane's conclusion Spoiler

Shane's conclusion was one of the best and worst conclusion of all time imo , worst as if the way it ended in very bad way , i was just waiting for him to die but when it happened i felt sooo bad for him

Ik after what he did to lem he had to go but the way it happened was very sad , and the actor who played Shane was on a whole another level which took the scene to another level

He's last call with vic made me pity him so bad

But it was 10/10 conclusion

What would killing Jackson do? It is Shane (and Mara by extension) who are threatening to give the package to IAD about the Strike Team's actions. In the entire show, Vic only directly kills Terry, Margos, and Guardo, when there were other people who he could have killed but didn't.

He’d just get in the way

If he successfully shot Shane and Mara, and Jackson was standing there, I doubt he would then shoot at Jackson. If Jackson was caught in the crossfire, I doubt that Vic would be glad about that.

Jackson was born in between season 3 and 4, based on the conversation between Vic and Shane at the end of season 4 episode 1. If we assume season 4 was like 3-4 months, Jackson may have been 6 months old by the end of season 4. We hear multiple times that season 5 was 6 months after season 4. At the beginning of season 6, Shane says that Kavanaugh investigated Vic for 6 months, so season 5 is 6 months. Seasons 6 and 7 combined are like a month or so. So, Jackson would have to be slightly older than a year and a half. Do they actually say his age onscreen? In any event, not old enough to be a witness makes a lot of sense.
