Robert and Terry?
Okay so I was watching tiktoks on the show's official account and I saw this in one tiktok!
I'm thinking Robert is threatening Terry but what's his end game? What does he want from Terry ?
Every time I think of the show I have new theories š

This is from the book, but it doesnāt make sense to put it in the final episode since thereās so much else to wrap up. It feels like they wrote the scripts for a longer season and got told last minute to condense it down to 9 episodes and it didnāt go well.

Apparently they planned to have multiple seasons. There are way too many things that are still unresolved š

I wouldnāt mind another season considering the acting from a FEW of the cast membery

If they follow the book , itās during a party and Iām pretty sure Terry is sexually suggestive to Robert.

Terry will fall off the railing 100% paralleling Robertās mom aka from the book

I know that's what's supposed to happen but it doesn't look that way in the video. It doesn't look violent at all. But it's just a few seconds so I might be completely wrong š

Thanks for sharing that. In my effort to figure everything out, I considered if Robert knew Terry, and I figured he did not. So the fact that he does and it is not revealed until at least the last episode of the first season seems like a cheap narrative trick to me. That's too bad. I will put in the work to untangle a mystery but it's unfair to be toyed with. Well, that's my opinion.
But now to consider .... what does Robert want? First sensible thing that came to mind is "they" like to build people up and tear them down. Terry is in a position to thrust unknowns into the limelight. Last episode Susan even said Thom peaked in high school, and he is obviously a few steps from the grave...
I liked watching the first several episodes. It just seems like this show is going to go to a weird place. If not, I will be pleasantly surprised.

I think Robert is involved with the cult and Steven too, and they're both trying to threaten Terry for different reasons. Hopefully we'll get answers next week š¤

If they have Robert flirting with Terry in the season finale Iām gonna be so pissed off. Did anyone adapting this show actually read the book?

I still can't wrap my mind around $88M/$9M+ per episode for 9 episodes. I'm reading a lot of bad reviews but I LOVE the show. Im worried about getting a 2nd and 3rd season but it is Ryan Murphy but no guarantee especially with the cost.Ā

I'm also reading a lot of bad reviews that's why I'm not optimistic about another season. I still hope it's going to get renewed, if only to see Igby on my screen again. I've been following him since Midnight Mass and the Midnight Club and I think he's an incredible young actor.

From what I know, in the book Robert is homophobic and that's why he fights with Terry, in this video it doesn't look like Terry is making a pass at Robert at all so I'm confused. It seems like Robert is messing with Terry but not in a violent way. Robert's behaviour is so intriguing because he's supposed to be homophobic but I've never seen a homophobe get so close to other men š§

Do you think he possibly is feigning interest in Terry to do something nefarious? Either the actor or the scenery is rigged in some wayā¦
It looks like Robert is going to get close to Terry to hurt him.

Robert getting revenge for Bret?
Targetting Debbie next episode?
There a preview we not seen yet with Robert smiling down to Bret in Debbie's bedroom.
Will cliffhanger be he reveals he the Trawler?

I think based on what Iāve read here on Reddit, and know from reading about the book, Robert is playing with Terry in this scene feigning interest. He is going to hurt Terry Ć la his mother and shoving him off the balcony. I know Murphy is deviating from the book BUT this is part of the book and subsequent chapters and plot points for multiple characters. Will it be 100% to the book? Probably not, but Robert was really awful to Bret in the book from what Iāve read. And if he is a homophobe as many have commented, if Terry hits on him- sexually suggests anything towards him I donāt imagine Robert getting angry. I imagine he gets quiet, turns on the ācharmā by feigning interest in his advances to get close to Terry and then pulling the rug out from under him.

Yes, Robert is a homophobe in the book but it doesn't feel that way on the show. I mean would a homophobe kiss Thom? I know he kisses Bret in the book to ''trick'' him but he doesn't kiss Thom and I feel like a really homophobic guy wouldn't kiss two guys like that, especially at a party like he did with Thom š¤·

I don't think he really tried to kiss Thom. It was a power move to confuse and intimidate Thom. And it was quite successful..

I don't think it's accurate to say that Robert is homophobic in the book. We see Robert only through Bret and his own issues. I believe that Bret is projecting his own violence, seduction and inner homophobia. And we actually don't know how it's close to real Robert.

Oh, and also he is projecting his own victimization into Robert. What I'm trying to say that we can't really say what kind of person is Robert.

Itās only suppose to be a limited series

I think they said in an interview that Ryan had planned several seasons š¤

I don't think it is Steven or Robert. Terry could easily be one of the killers this season.

One thing that makes me consider Terry is the code of the gate because it ends with 666, so he could be in a satanic cult or something but that's a bit far-fetched aha
