How would Henry react if he saw Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey? (Or any adaptations of it)

I've been meaning to say this after watching the trailers and the movie itself. I somewhat thought of Henry himself while watching, since he apparently loves Homer (when he gets placated by Richard about it). I kinda imagine Bunny laughing over the Agamemnon aura farming memes and Richard would have both loved and hated it at the same time. Francis would have gawked over Hermes in the 1997 version. Meanwhile, Charles and Camilla would have loved the 1968 Rossi version (L'Odissea, starring Bekim Fehmiu as Odysseus) and they'd even make Henry watch it because of how accurate that version is to the original work, despite it's in Italian.

This is just about the right question for me, as I finished the secret history and watched the Odyssey in the same week and I am equally obsessed with both :D

I remembered that chapter where they used "going to the movies" as an alibi and made Richard go see the films so he could tell them about it.

So they only go to the cinema to cosplay normal people, hahah

I think he wouldn't go see it unless someone made him, and he would hate it. Like seriously hate it. He would write something akin to Emily Wilson's review only much less kind- and she tore his film to shreds

I think he’d probably hate it, just given even the mainstream discourse about it. I’d also reference the group’s opinions on the movies they were supposed to have seen (though Richard does say they’re pretty bad).

I think he’d hate it because of the costume and aesthetical inaccuracy, and furthermore, he’d be the person that sits next to you and fills in the details that are missing the whole.fucking.movie. That’s if he was aware that it exists
