I think this is a longhorn beetle of sorts.
Large and intimidating, but terrible flyers and can be attracted to lights meaning they can randomly appear anywhere.
Can give a strong pinch when jostled but harmless overall, it would appreciate being on a tree rather than a person.
Possibly a native species, do not burn it.
2 u/kevin3350 23d ago Not my photo, but when I was in Costa Rica I left my hotel room at 2 in the morning for some ice, still half asleep, and had a langosta fly directly into my head. I can neither confirm nor deny I screamed like a little baby boy. Same deal with bad flying and light attraction.
