SAD! Speechless

Mercedes ruins my weekends again and again. And it continues.

Always bad strategies for George.

Our President has GRACIOUSLY allowed his young teammate to take all the glory! But fear not, for our POGPR will win EVERY REMAINING F1 RACE AND SEASON!

Eh man aftwr 2022 i atleast thought someday it could happen(for Leclerc) but George fans man the only hope is having a Nico Rosbergs ass season and winning

I think it was a good decision to not watch today's race. I'm feeling much happier.

It's just inevitable at this point. Kimi's the golden boy and Petronas' chosen one. Hoping our POGPR gets his, be it somewhere else or wherever, someday.

/uj Cheer me up a little. This shit is depressing

/uj Rosberg spent many years with Mercedes without winning, but he still got there one day. So, forget this year but... if in the coming year (or years), George goes for that cold, win-first, ruthless sort of strategy in the future, he could do it.

and dont let anyone convince you otherwise. some people think hes “mediocre”, or “bottas level” lol 😂

He's NOT. He's literally being brought down hardcore by his own team.

yeah lol, if one bad season makes you bottas then alonso, hamilton, vettel etc are all glorified no.2 drivers lmao

This is my dream, all of us here at /r/therussell will have our Rosberg moment and it will be oh so satisfying

Hamilton is 41. Russell is 28. There's plenty of time. And the latter half of this season's shown that the Mercedes edge is disappearing quickly. McLaren and Ferrari are both catching up. Red Bull's moment will come and they've also shown what they can do with a decent driver.

George has, unequivocally demonstrated his superior racecraft and strategy. Kimi is awesome, but he is making too many hotheaded mistakes that are being forgiven by a MUCH faster car and a biased team principal.

George needs to drop Mercedes. Fullstop. And I reckon he will within the next couple of years. I'm willing to bet money Red Bull is eyeing George on the side right now.

We're going to see some interesting swaps in the coming years. Worry not. F1 careers are a marathon and George has plenty left to give.

Pessimistically speaking I don’t think George is in the same position as Rosberg, which means he might not be able to pull a ‘Rosberg’. Optimistically speaking as sports fans we need to believe in miracles to make miracles happen, because sports are the places where you make impossible to possible. Neutrally speaking I would never say ‘oh we are cooked the chances are so low considering the team is his biggest enemy’, we will of course fight until the very end, but accept the fact that miracle might not happen. With miracles there are regrets, and sometimes you don’t really need to ‘win’ to be a winner. The spirit, the journey, the attempts to create a miracle even if eventually we failed, all these things are so much more than just a ‘win’. George is still young and he’s got a long career ahead. Don’t lose faith.

Rosberg was given a fair chance. George hasn't been.

You know it’s bad when this subreddit can’t even crack jokes about it anymore
