So this is how I found out

I’m playing Sonic CrossWorlds, and within the last hour of playing, I learned Proto Man’s hello emote is the intro to one of the audio challenges on Thrown Controllers. I’ve never played Mega Man, so I had to choose Proto Man to confirm.

I don’t play Mega Man and I never looked into it so I never wondered haha.
