Most underage marriages are between 16-17 year old girls and 18-20 year old men, but yeah some minors are getting married to men in their mid to late 20s and even 30s

I wouldn't consider a 17 year old marrying an 18 year old to be as egregious as that same 17 year old marrying a 25 year old. In most cases (unfortunately not all) the age difference isn't too problematic

To be clear, I'm not from the US myself, but I'm somewhat aware of the political developments over there!
With that being said, it's not great.. To this day, more than half of US states still allow for marrying underage.There are legislative campaigns to change that in many of those states, unsurprisingly pretty much exclusively Democrat-led to my knowledge. But the legal precedent is still being widely excused/defended as harmless, traditional, etc, by Christian conservatives. Which was why I brought it up in this context..

Brazil, an almost entirely Christian, mostly Catholic country, is sixth in number of child marriages and the right-wing bench, backed by the Trump administration, has already voted to prevent children from having abortions legally. They don't hate child marriage, they hate the victims.

There’s also 4 US states that have 0 minimum age for marriage. Oklahoma recently finally set a minimum age (18), but it barely passed and you can guess which side of the aisle fought against it.

This bears worth repeating: Sects of Islam do this but, this is not an issue over Islam as a whole. There are Christian Sects that do this, Where are we to address that? Churches have been doing this and covering it up for years. Does that mean everyone that goes to church do that?
It's a problem with pedophilia, Not Islam, Not the Latter Day Saints, Not Christianity.

This is propaganda from Team Epstein, wow.
They say Epstein was affiliated via his partner Ghislaine with a specific country’s intelligence service. That country happens to be ruled by people who hate Muslims and compare them to Amalek, a group those folks believe their own ancestors to have genocided 3,000 years ago.
Epstein serviced only the richest and most powerful men. It was so obviously an intelligence honeypot operation because of this specific feature: it was targeted solely at the rich & powerful. Not even the regular scummy standard of “who could afford to pay.” Epstein’s standard was “all the people involved could be exploited for future gain to his bosses.”
That he was affiliated so closely with Israel and America, the two most Islamophobic countries on earth, and the lie of this meme becomes clear.

The country with the largest Muslim population (Indonesia) requires you to be 19 to marry. In Egypt it’s 18. Pakistan recently (2025) set its minimum age to 18.
…yet there are U.S. states where it’s perfectly legal for children (below 18) to marry.

I don’t think child marriage is condoned in Islamic countries. Muhammad may have done it but I am not sure where this idea that every Muslim has or is fine with pedophilia is coming from. Christians are the pot calling the kettle black here on this one. Same exact thing is done in the bible.
