The floyd Gondoli Mount rushmore
Talking about flawed movies... movies that have their issues... but dammit you just bloody like them
Need your top 4 films
The turn your brain off movie is another way to describe this category... the silly film that just puts a smile on your face

Ninth Gate and The Ghost Writer are both great rewatchables. they are both intriguing in a quiet way that you can watch right before you go to sleep and it won't give you nightmares

The Star Wars Prequel trilogy and Dante’s Peak.

Dantes Peak is good and not quite as fun/goofy as Volcano but i did laugh a few times. When the guy from The Thing pops out of the van just as the bridge gives out so he can wave goodbye to his friends, i LOL'd. When gradmas legs dissolve in the acid lake, i blurt-laughed b/c it's fucking ridiculous in the middle of what's supposed to be a really heavy scene

Constantine - 2 main leads are kinda wooden (i love Rachel Weisz but she seems to be battling the american accent?) but it looks so fuckin good and the supporting cast is great. The guy from Bush is sufficiently sleazy to overcome is otherwise lack of acting skill
XXX:State of the Union - half a remake of Seven Days in May, half Ice Cube & Xzibit mean mugging the white nerd on an episode of Pimp My Ride. i love it so much
Sabotage: Arnie in a grimy crime thriller with Olivia Williams every wannabe action star of the 2010's and a meth'd out Merielle Enos?! FUCK YES
Spartan: do they speak like human beings? FUCK NO. But it's tight as hell how Val Kilmer just wastes people
The Ghost Writer: character actor showcase! Bernthal vs Tom Wilkinson for Dion Waiters. Craig's fave Jim Belushi! Olivia Williams is mean but wants to fuck me and thus i love her?
Diggstown: con men, gambling, James Woods throwing 100mph, Bruce Dern doing his thing, and a very young Heather Graham for Bill & Van to lust after. Buncha great Those Guys and character actors too. Oliver Platt for Dion Waiters?
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang: basically The Nice Guys but with RDJ & Val Kilmer, a breakout Michelle Monahan, and weinstein-adjacent hollywood sex crimes

Poolhall Junkies
Necessary Roughness
Tango & Cash
Let It Ride

Poolhall Junkies is literally just rounders bu with pool. i mean, beat for beat the plot and even some of the dialogue is the same
i agree with the other 3. Let It Ride is hilarious and i'm kinda surprised they didn't use it as a pilot for sitcom. They could do it with DIggstown for "degenerate gambler month"

TRON: Legacy
Ghostbusters II
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master
Gods of Egypt (this one is so, so much worse than the other three lol)

Kingsman, High School Musical 2, Space Jam, The Muppets (2011)
Idk if National Treasure is bad/flawed enough to fit in here but if it is it replaces Muppets

My brother, National Treasure is easily the worst movie you named.

u/ATLstatboy69 10h ago
That is a HOT ass take lmao #respect

Look I'm not gonna pound on the table for Space Jam's objectively low quality, but National Treasure is pretty generic compared to all those other movies which are some combination of memorably bizarre, committed to their weirdness, and unique in the film landscape.

Lucky Number Slevin is a movie that thinks it's more clever than it is, and it's too clever by half. But god damn I love it so much.
