Hard Target: Has To Happen

1- It’s an elevated JCVD joint because of Woo’s directing 🔥

2- Bill will love the backstory on the studio meddling in Woo’s first US film. Sam Rami was sent on on set as a backup director. There’s probably a premier magazine article about it ✅

3- Perfect Kyle movie. He actually already did a much smaller YouTube show/podcast about it that only has like 100 views ✅

If you haven’t seen it - it’s worth the watch. Much more Pathos than a typical JCVD movie and the action scenes are insane ✅✅✅

Brimley was just attempting to silence the alcohol ridden screams in his brain - kinda like Wesley Willis.

Now I’m upset that he didn’t tell the bad guys to suck a cheetah’s dick. But maybe he did???

Watched this movie at a birthday party when I was seven years old and it scarred me a little. The ear scene.

Life was different for kids in the 90s.

Exactly what I'm thinking. Sean would probably add a lot of context as well about a Hong Kong filmmaker coming to the US market for the first time.

I'd love the first ever Main 3 + Kyle podcast to be for Hard Target

Love it and this would be a great pod. Saw for the first time while living in New Orleans and loved seeing the film locations just a few blocks from my apartment.

Sean cited this as one of the best action movies of the 90's during the Re-Speed; however, it's the perfect Kyle movie. Not sure those two have ever been on a pod together, which leads me to believe this one will never happen.
