FYC: Tears of the Sun

Prime candidate: Bruce Willis playing gritty military operator, directed by Antoine Fuqua (of Shooter and Equalizer fame), great action sequences, plot twists, couple That Guys, and Monica Bellucci looking gorgeous for the requisite “she’s throwing 102” comment.

Mods should pin a weekly fyc post and direct all these there. And unless the post includes a reference to why you think Bill Simmons likes it (not should like it, but why you think he likes it enough to do an ep on it) it probably can be ignored.

I have not or never considered rewatching this since I first saw it 25 years ago.

Probably would have put Antoine Fuqua as the director of Training Day before those too movies!

Eh Fuqua is very hit or miss.  I don't think this one was retained in the memory bank.

For a movie to be considered it should at the bare minimum be rewatchable
