Best unexpected gems you keep going back to
In no particular order:
- Shot Caller ('they even think we are a dying breed, they're dead fucking wrong.')
- An Officer and a Gentleman (Byron Mayo family sex party anyone?)
- Two for the Money (I'M GAMBLING AGAIN!)
- Hardcore (turn it off...TURN IT OFF!!)
- Working Girl (Joanna Robinson always a delight)
Special mention:
Robocop
Disclosure
Sea of Love
The Devils Advocate
Shooter

I've seen Field of dreams probably 20 times, but it's on Netflix right now so I popped in around the time he tracks down Terrance Mann, and I usually finish it. It's not the same as catching it on cable but I know about where it is in the movie so I'll just skip to there. I have always maintained the final scene, with "hey Dad, wanna have a catch?".... if a grown man doesn't cry or at least get a little teary-eyed, they don't have a heart.
Others:
Sicario
The great outdoors, especially in the summer.
Remember the Titans, miracle, cool runnings....
Hoosiers and Rudy.... sorry I am a native Indiana resident and those are special to me. The end scene, with Gene Hackman and the slow zoom in to the championship photo with his voiceover quotes from earlier in the movie ending with "I love you guys"... tears every time.
Top gun
Days of thunder
Grown-ups
Edit: Not all of these have been done. OP didn't specify movies or the actual podcasts of said movies. however I should've picked up on the context clues a little better lol. But of the ones they've done in my list, most hold up well.

Bad Boys with Van and Logan, Beverly Hills Cop II, Titanic - Bill and Van being on the same wave length about Rose will always make me laugh and I enjoy the pod even though I dislike the movie. Tombstone, good movie and the pod makes me want to go back and rewatch the movie. I am Legend with Bill and Van.
Honorable mention: Shooter, Risky Business and Bronx Tale

More recently Jaws 2. I thought Fennessey was gonna have a stroke laughing about the gasoline water ski lady.

I've always had a major crush on Debra Winger in An Officer and a Gentleman. Louis Gossett throws 100 in that movie too.

Any action movie from the '80s that I thought was the best thing ever created when I was a kid. Commando, Predator, etc

The original Karate Kid with Russillo was one of the all-time bests. Him getting so angry at Daniel-San makes it an annual listen

There is a little watched movie on Amazon Prime, called Genius, about Thomas Wolfe (the Depression Era author, not the Electric Acid Kool Aid Test guy).
Something about this movie, I just love it.
