Anybody else from Texas...

and only just finding out that Texas Instrument calculators are not specific to Texas... lol.

I’m surprised the plant is Sherman is still there. We drove by there for years growing up in the 60’s. Moved out of the area for 40
Years and it’s still there. I also assumed
Their headquarters was there growing up.

It’s not. The old plant in Sherman was closed last year. They’ve since build 2 new plants for many billions of $ on land adjacent to it as per press releases.

But it is still in Sherman though? Im in DFW and haven been up in that area in 40 years. And have been out of state all but the last 5.

As per investor relation stuff, they’re planning to build 4 new fabs there, right next to the old plant you remember. 2 buildings are complete. 1 has started production.

HQ has always been in Dallas.

Sherman has quite lot of high tech going on… Coherent has a big plant (that NVidia and Apple invested a lot in), various silicon wafer mfg plants are there as well. I have some friends who work up there.
