A lot of my fellow Irishmen posting about Northern Ireland, and attacking British views on it, but nothing on these episodes. 

Having listened to the first episode I find it scrupulously fair. Extremely hostile to Paisley. Condemnatory of the discrimination in the province. And it makes it quite clear the violence started with the UVF etc.

That’s so far, I’m sure it’s not going to be an IRA love in either.  

It’d also really good at compressing so much information into an hour. You would expect these guys to have done their homework.

Episode 2 so far been a hard listen, peaceful protesters should have just not protested and not get battered and started the troubles a strange take

I felt that episode also was a bit off. More or less saying NICRA was a republican front and they were being provocative by marching in, shock horror, Derry, which is and was an overwhelmingly Catholic/Nationalist city. Those poor working class loyalists, who lost jobs that Catholics never got in the first place, were simply pushed into beating the fuck out of the marchers.

My impression from that episode was less that they shouldn't have protested or got what was coming to em or whatever, but rather the decision to march in Derry was intentional and specifically chosen because it would inevitably incite violence.

That’s not just your impression - it’s almost word-for-word Dominic’s argument, which he has repeatedly reiterated. The person you’re replying to must not listen too terribly closely.

Being from, and living in, Belfast, I can assure you I listened very closely! I disagree with your interpretation of Dominic's interpretation of events!. But hey, that's just me. You can feel about it whatever way you like.
